Need help

I have a 02 gt and every time I hit a stop light the car starts having power surges and the Rpms go up and down fast then it wants to stall/die. i changed the idle control valve and it did help for like 2 weeks and then it went back to normal. Check engine is on but it's cause I have open headers, it also said inproper fuel/air mix ratio, any suggestions? Oh and idk why but I've been having horrible fuel economy!

If you have open headers, that's your problem. Your car needs the 02 sensors that plug into your midpipe in order to regulate the air/fuel ratio. That's also what is giving you the check engine light most likely.

this or maybe it needs a tune to know why it isn't seeing 02 signals.
