Got the win

Been 4 years since I've bracket raced. 3 years since I've been on a track competitively. Entered footbrake class and came home with a win. Low car count (14) with double buy backs so that helped with rds. But it was nice to come back from a long period of not racing and get the win. Car has been converted back to stock suspension and motor only. Ran 8.58-8.60 all day with 60fts of 1.69-1.70.

I struggled a bit at the tree. .06-.08. My worst was an .09. a few races I had to really be on my game on the big end because of my lights but it all worked out.

You should give it a try. Get some good sticky tires, a nice five inch tach with shift light, and go from there it's possible not only to compete with a clutch but to win. Most of the cars I race against are purpose built bracket cars. I might get some flak from the purists but consistency on ETs are over rated in bracket racing. It just takes some time to learn what to do and when to do it. And no I don't sand bag any races.
