Curious as to what my 1/4 mile time could be!

Here's a quick note before I get started... I got the car second hand so I'm not sure what all the possible mods are. Ok, now since I got that outta the way heres what I want to ask. I'm curious as to what my possible 1/4 mile time could be. I have a 2004 Mach1. The mods that I know I have are as follows: BBK 65mm Twin Throttle Body, BBK Long Tube Headers, BBK CNC-Series Off-Road X-Pipes,MagnaFlow Dual Stainless Steel Cat Back. Now in a couple of weeks ( before I go to a track) I plan to get a SCT Mustang 4-Bank Eliminator Chip then get it tuned at a SCT retailer. I also plan to run 104 octane. Altitude isn't a factor because I live in Florida. If there is anything I left out that could give you a more accurate estimate let me know I'll try my best to fill in the blanks. If you could also give me some tips for the launch ( Ex. @ what rpm to launch at or @ what pressure my tires should be to avoid spinning off the line) Please let me know. This is going to be my first time at a track so a list of dos and don'ts might not be a bad idea either. Thanks for any info you guys can provide.

well... first off... unless you have a 104 octane dyno tune on that flip chip then you dont need to run 104 octane.... it could actually slow you down.. depending on tires and how good of a driver you are also... a decent driver with street tires could pull a 13.4... decent driver with tires could pull a 12.8-12.9 or so... a good driver could see as low as low to mid 12s.... there ya go....

Thanks, I was thinking that would be a good idea from the get go.... The chip holds 4 tunes. I was planning a 93 octane tune, 104 octane tune.... but undecided on the other. I would consider my self a good driver im aware of how to power shift. And I know the car very well.

i launch at around 4K if the track is well prepped

First pass... 14.3

Next pass.... 13.6

Maybe by the end of the day/night you'll be in the low 13's.

Are mid- high 12's out of the question though?

i think it'll all depend on what tires you'll be using wether street, drag radials or slicks.
w/ street tires i think you'll be in the low 13's

well make sure to remember to only do a short burnout on the street tires. a long burnout on those will most likely make them grip the track less.

and if you make a couple passes and spin too much every time...try launching at a even lower rpm and let the clutch pedal out all the way to where the car bogs a good bit and then floor the gas. she shouldnt spin on you, unless the track really sucks. thats the way i would launch sometimes on street tires.

it might not lower your ET but at the same time theres a chance it would.

if you can hook very well (which probably means drag radials) then i don't think a high twelve would be a problem.

yea i would...i'd think if you could get DR's or Slicks and leave hard with like a 1.70 60ft. time i think 12.80's would be possible.

YES YES YES YES YES.....i couldnt say that enough. if you wanna see ANY of the true potential of your car, youre gonna have to get some drag radials or slicks.
