I Have a '67 Mustang that I recently put '75 Mercury Monarch Spindles on for the disc brakes. The only issue I have is that my original wheels won't fit over the new Hub Assembly. So I found Rims that did fit. I went from 14 x 5 all around to 15 x 7 on the front and 15 x 8 on the back. Got Tires and got every thing mounted... looks great. but when I hit bumps it scraps the edge of the tire on the rear quarter panel where the tread meets the side of the tire. At the Curb w/ nothing in the trunk or backseat there is about 1 3/4" between the tire and the panel. What should I do? Roll the Fender? All the competition spring LOWER the car.... or do I have to get new rims and tires....
You could always throw some adjustable air shocks in the back and jack it up a bit. That's what some one did to my car before I had it since they were gonna put big drag radials on it. The raised rear with wider tires give it that mean drag look too.
You could try putting rubber bumper in the springs to make them stiffer. My dad had the same problem on his 66 and that fixed the problem. It depends on how bad it’s rubbing. But his is a weekend car and not a DD.
Why do you not reccomend air shocks? I dont know too much about suspension so i dont see what you guys do. Unless air shocks in order to give a softer ride compress easier and thus cause the tire/wheel to become closer to the fender when a bump is hit or something. I thought you could adjust them though so that you jack your back end up (or lower it).

Sorry about the long delay but I forgot about this account. I ended up with new leaf springs and a rear sway bar from Virginia Classic mustang. I don't rub anymore and it sits up a little bit more too. I didn't take measurements so I'm not sure exactly how much but it looks mean and I like it.
