classic 1/4 mile times

I took my 66 mustang out to sonoma raceway tonight for the first time. I was expecting 17's but got a best of 15.7. I have a 302 (brand new long block) freshly rebuilt c4 with no upgrades, and have no idea what gears I have. Once I get some bigger tires Im hoping to be able to foot break it and get a little bit better ET. What are you guys running and on what setup?

The last time I ran the 1/4, it went [email protected] ([email protected] 1/8 mile), but since then it's been [email protected] in the 1/8, which would be 9.60ish.

408W, C4, 3.73s, pump gas, hyd roller, Caltracs, and stock suspension.

Nice to know because I am planning on doing a build identical to yours.
