I am cheap, dirt cheap. As husband and wife, we are very independent people in general (avoid paying other people for services we can do on our own) so we can afford our hobbies (cars, etc lol).
Example: I have not paid for a hair cut since about 2004 (I cut my own hair, with scissors). My wife does the back, she does not have salon training at all, none, and neither do I. When my wife moved in my house in early 2007 I began cutting her hair too AND coloring it (we invested in a $100 set of scissors that were worth it). I was paying $25 every two weeks for a hair cut so the past 5 years I have saved myself $3,250. My wife was paying $150 every 3 months for a cut/color so the past 5 years we have saved $3,000 on her hair.
Ok, laugh all you want, but add that up and we've saved $6,250k just on hair cut services. That is post tax income, so gross that up to pre-tax at minimum 25% tax rate and I've saved $8,333 in the past five years just on hair services.
We go out at least twice a week for dinner and only purchase one drink (Friday's, Chili's, Cheesecake Factory, or fast food lol). $1.50 avg for one drink. That is nearly $800 bucks saved over the past 5 years. We also split a large fries, lol, probably $500 over the past 5 years in savings.
My wife just goes along with it, she "gets it". Those savings have gone toward cars, vacations, car mods, things my wife wants, etc.
I'm so cheap I could suck Lincoln off of a penny beechez.

Holy shit. I just assumed it was the porsche, not a fire breathing piece of American badassery.
