hey guys, so i finally decided to make a build thread to show my progress of the car over the years. I bought her in 2008 right after boot camp. Within a couple days i named her Sara Beth and to this day my wife says i cheat on my car with her. lol. I know it was a v6 but owning a mustang has been my dream since i was 4. But here she was when i first bought her.
While i was down in south carolina i only did minor things like tint, vinyl stripes and flowmaster dual exhaust.
I know, bad taste in exhaust tips. lol
Soon after getting transferred to norfolk the modding actually started. I first bought a new body kit and hood. Then rented a booth and repainted her. My buddy gave me his old rims off his 08 Also. I also bought some slp lm2s at the time and got rid of my cats.
Next i bought some new rims. I got some 05+ roush rims for her for a good deal. I eventually sold them but i thought they looked good even though the car was still in 4x4 mode. I also painted parts of the interior and got some carbon fiber vinyl in there
Next came the swap. I bought a parts car with a lot of stuff already done. For a list of everything look in my garage. The list is too long to type here. But here are some cliff notes of the swap. 302 vt engine stroker with Heads and cams. Promotion t45. Built rear end with 33 spline axles. Suspension built for drag. Took me 3 weekends by myself to complete. Then took about a month for insurance, plates, and a couple stupid little things to make it road worthy. I also bought some new seats, new guages, new wheels, and had my valve covers hydro printed ford blue carbon fiber
if i could find a booth i would. I couldnt find one down here. Yeah, eventually a kb 2.6 with meth. Ill see where 20lbs of boost will get me. If its over 600 to the wheels ill be happy. Other than that, Id like to get a cobra spoiler and 02+ side scoops to finish the exterior. And also finish my roll bar. lol
Welded up my flsfc's today. Should have got them a long time ago. Also tinted my tails. Tomorrow ill wetsand them and I'm really thinking about going spoilerless. Mainly because the roush wing is huge and blocks like 25% of my view in the rearview mirror. Plus I eventually want a cobra spoiler
Went to the dyno today with FortyThree. Came out a little disappointed with the results. Only hit 250/270. But come to find out the slight little backfire i kept hearing was more than i thought it was. Coil on #4 cylinder is broke. And when i plugged the tuner in after getting back home, #7 is missing also. So I guess thats not bad for only 6 cylinders and 2 part timers. lol. Im going to get it fixed this week and go back sometime soon.
I painted my saleen spoiler a week or so ago. Finally decided to put pics up on this thread. Also, got new rear tires after one catastrophically blew on the highway. And re-dynod the car after fixing my missing problems, 312rwhp/342tq!! Ill get better pics soon.
Figured id throw an exhaust clip up. VT Stage 2 cams, Mac L/t with o/r h, Slp LM2s dumped. Sorry the camera cut out before it really started to lope at idle. But you can hear it a little bit

do you think I even need to wetsand them? they came it pretty well I thought, due to your expertise lol, I've been thinking i'd just compound and polish then a nuba wax since they should have cured by now?
