I turned mine off this morning. Went through everything and got MM almost back to normal.

I'm not sure what people have against the quote and mention notifications. If everyone turns them off, the mention is going to be useless.

Only thing I can't get rid of are the recent discussions and buyers resources things but they are now at the very bottom of the page on the computer and my phone so they don't jack up the browser on my phone. And I have them both shrunk down.
The mention I actually like. But maybe once the novelty wears off and it's not just a fun game to mention everyone. Cor.
The quote notifications makes absolutely no sense to me. Why am I notified when I quote in my own post?
And if someone is quoting me then it's obviously a thread I posted in and will therefor be checking back in with. I'll read it and find that I was quoted then just like I always have.
I actually like the recent discussions thing being easier to get to too but they made the placement awful. There had to be a better way to implement that.

: It shows up in the thing on my profile but thats it.I will probably end up turning off the quotes notification only because it doesn't work very well. If the notification would automatically go away when you see the quoted post, that'd be great.

Mine showed two sets.
It showed me my own posts where I quoted someone then the ones were people quoted me.
That was last night. Maybe it was a glitch and they fixed it.
Doesn't matter to me. It's an unnecessary feature for me and I don't find it useful so I turned it off.
