I went to a tech school too, and I still spent some $$ on books. I did also go to an online tech school where 99% of the classes the books/reading material was all online.

My course material (book sorta) was covered by tuition. If I needed another one it was 10$ so not that bad

Unless you study medicine, law, or some of the engineering majors, college is mostly to open up your brain and teach you how to research, think critically, solve problems, think outside of the box, etc... A lot of people that went to college don't use the degree they got in school in their career.

So what you're technically saying is since I went too college my brain wasn't open enough or I didn't think outside the box, too learn 3 years of mechanics shoved into a 32 week course that would usually take a university student 3 years too grasp hmmm makes me wonder.

You know that can be applied too university students right?

I agree with the statement that 80% let's say go too college to get a degree that won't even use.

If you really want to save big bucks, get the paperback international edition. Huuuuuuuge savings. Those things were dirt cheap and 99% the same.

I'd rather pay $10 for the same content without the fancy course-specific cover 141st edition. That extra $990 doesn't make you any smarter.
