Deleted I was seeing about 13-15 around town, depending on how much warming up I had to do, and 17-19 on the highway around 70. Country roads taking it easy could push into the low 20s. Hauling barely put a dent in it. Running with a lighter car on a dolly was around 18, heavy ass car on a heavy trailer was still around 16.

Everything was a minimum of 3mpg better than stock, sometimes more. I probably could have done better with a different tune. A hotter tune with more timing would net a few more mpgs, and the H&S custom tuning would be even better than that.

The G56 is pretty nice. It's a tough medium duty transmission that Mercedes uses in their MD trucks worldwide. The weak spot is the clutch, but it's probably intentional, so that you smoke the clutch before the transmission or axles.

It's already got a gooseneck hitch, all the trailer hookups, and load bags in the rear

Those tires aren't cheap. If it needs tires I'd try to talk him down some. E range tires are fuckin' expensive.

Seems a little pricey to me. I was thinking around $14-15k would be a good price.

Would definitely rather trade for this:

No tailgate pisses me off though. Also that Edge would be gone with the quickness. MiniMaxx ftw
5.9 values are insane. Everyone wants them.

Lol they run a lot better than that! Even stock you could probably get yourself a speeding ticket.

Look into a custom tune as well, do not bother with Edge, superchips, banks or any of that garbage. Call up beans diesel performance or Matt @ gearhead performance. They are both really good.

I would also look for a package deal (for tune, gauges and exhaust) and do it all at once, it will save you some cash. You can build your own intake setup for $40 with a Napa 6637 Filter and a piece of PVC.

Hard to tell since it looks a bit scratched up, but I'm pretty sure it's the exhaust brake.

It's fun as hell too btw. You'll know when it's on. Let off the throttle, and you'll hear that distinctive "WHISSSSSHHHHH" and you can feel it lug down. Tons of fun on downgrades. Best to leave it on most of the time, short of when it's snowy so that the VGT vanes don't stick.

Drove my buddies EFI Live, DSP5, exhaust LMM tonight. My God I want it. The scream that thing produces when it is floored, is intoxicating. That is one thing I love about Duramax's, the scream is amazing. It is way too big for me to want to drive every day though. 6" lift on 35's. The truck is huge.

Yep definitely what it is. It's actually much quieter than I thought it would be. Since we're cruising down the highway I usually don't have it on but when we have to exit it helps a shit ton. This trailer is a bit heavy lol

Delete the EGR and run a 5" TBE and it won't be that quiet.
Wait till you hear high idle with the exhaust brake with that setup. Guaranteed to piss off some neighbors.

Hahaha that's awesome. Pulling in to the KOA campsite this morning at 3 the trailer hitch was creaking like crazy. Probably woke up the whole place. But it's gonna be in California for a while so it probably won't get anything else done. Gotta pass all their crap

When I finally get one, I will be sure to piss my neighbors off with that. Exhaust brake idle on a straight piped 12v, and my car with an open Big Red BPV, man my neighbors are gonna hate that 2 Jet sounding vehicles

The Ford does something like that if you leave it idling. I guess it's a boost bypass or something but it hisses through the exhaust. It's crazy loud. Especially through the hollowed out muffler lol

7.3? It's the EBPV (Exhaust Back Pressure Valve) if it is. Kinda the same principle as an exhaust brake, but from the factory it only closes at lower temperatures to help the motor warm up quicker at idle. There is a "kit" that lets you open/close it with a switch to use it like an exhaust brake during normal driving....
