Very lucky day... highway accident

Well I have been needing new rear tires for about 4 months. My dad told me to get new ones, my mom did and my coo-workers did as well.
I didn't listen and I didn't want to spend my rent money on new tires.

So today I had to drive 330 miles to gainesville on my wide ass bold tires.

I was 20 minutes away when it started raining to I turned the music down, put both hands on the steering wheel and stayed alert.

As I was going over a bridge my rear tires went loose going around 75 with cars all around me, I was on the center lane and my car started sliding to the left and luckily the truck that was right next to me was able to go on the mediam to avoid me, so then I tried to correct the slide and started sliding to the right at which point the two cars on my right had started slowing down giving me room to slide all the way to the right mediam doing a full 180 degree turn.

Im so freaking lucky I didnt hit anything or anyone and I feel so blessed to be intact. My car came to a full stop in the right mediam right between the oncoming traffic and the guardrail.

Cliffs:

Bold tires
was raining
lost control going 75mph
didn't hit anything as I slided across 3 lanes

Pic I took 10 mins before the accident

Damn dude thats scary. I spun out on a semi wet road a year ago, went out and bought new tires the next day.

Glad to hear you're okay!

Not piling on you, and I know you probably are aware of this after the fact, Max... but going 75 in the rain with bald tires is a very, very bad idea.

Near the end of last summer when my KDWs were down to the wear bars, there were a couple of rains I drove through where I had to take it down to 50 mph and it still felt kind of skitterish.

I'm glad you came out of that all right man.
