LS3 Fox Build

Sup. Here is where I will log my build.

what I have so far
92 Lx Calypso Hatch
L92/LS3 Shortblock 0 miles
Front distributor drive setup
Faceplated Straight Cut Gforce T5
Quicktime 6037 to use ford trans (already had trans and I dont like hydraulic setups)
Dynatech 1 7/8s swap headers
AJE Swap K/Mounts
Glens Sleeper Tank
Order is out now to Ed to grind me a cam

Probably forgetting stuff

Car will be carbed. Shooting for 510-530whp pumpgas N/A on a mustang dyno
Shooting for 9.99 quarter times

What I need:
cam/valvetrain/lifters/rockers
Heads (GM CNC LS3s)
Carb (prosystems)
Vic Jr
Fuel System

Please dont turn this into a LS/Ford bashing thread.

Built a stroker for the car and bought an intercooled novi2000 a few months ago but never put it on. Got screwed by machine shop with the motor so I got pissed and sold everything

no small block ford offers the combined benefits of the motor Im building. No brand loyalty here, Ive owned 3 foxes, mach 1, coyote, only thing I havent had is a 2 or 3v:

LSx Block Benefits:

6 bolt Mains
Aluminum Block
350cfm heads for 1200 bucks

its a no brainer.

The dizzy setup is VERY expensive though. I got lucky and got it for 950 shipped. Its easily 3k+ new

Nice. Looking forward to seeing this thing run. Any reason why you went with the dizzy setup over the MSD setup?

I planned on going MSD setup, even bought a set of coils, then this kit popped up used. Got it with the dizzy setup, new msd dizzy, water pump, alt, 1500 bucks worth of pulleys/brackets, ati balancer. Got it for basically the price of the msd box and balancer. And it is much prettier.

Should be real simple to work with carb and dizzy. It gets annoying to have to hook laptop every time to make a change.

you should see how simple the MSD 6010/12 box is for this swap, you can either stick timing pills in it for the curve or build it yourself with a laptop. Pretty cool for something that you stick a cab on

My favorite color fox. Clean looking car, love the LS3 swap. I look forward to keeping tabs on this build.

Subscribed. I just sold my Grand Sport with LS3 on Wednesday. I'm about to start a Fox/LSX street/strip project. Just gotta find the right notch as a platform. Found a few on racingjunk.com but everything is WAY up north and I'm in TX
