People Who Have Beats

The headphones...

*** I do not want this thread to turn into a "Beats suck, get _____" thread.

I am looking at purchasing a pair of Beats and would like thoughts on the best ones for someone going to college. Looking at Studio, Mixr, Solo Hd

(This is a birthday thing)

I am thinking Studios, but my thoughts (as well as my father's) are that the Mixr look much better and are much lighter and easier to use shooting hoops and such. Something I couldn't do in the Studios. I spent 30 mins in Best buy just trying them all on and switching back and forth, and I'm not sure..

No offense, but I can't get a warranty with that and .... yeah... They're only $249 new right down the street.

Man i know you said dont do the get this not that, but i had issues finding headphones i liked that stayed in while working out with good quality sound at a fair price. This guy came into my gym while i was working and gave me these headphones (he was a rep trying to get us to sell them).

For the price they are great, dont have any complaints about them at all. Just changed the settings on my iphone to get the exact sound i wanted out of them. With that said, cant help you out on the others as i have never tried them.

I did not like those at all. Not very good sound IMO nor did they stay in my ears while working out.

Also, the studios are super comfortable. The solos are too small and uncomfortable to my ears since they sit right on them. Everyone says that they have "too much" bass, but they have the right amount I think. Also cut out the sound around you very well. Plus I use them for gaming and they perform there just as well. Only downside is batteries, MAKE SURE TO TURN THEM OFF. I forget too much. Haha.

I have the beats earphones and love them. Work great for what I use them for, running. Yesterday, however, the left side shorted out and doesn't work. I have to call Monday and file a warranty claim. I got them this past Christmas. Unlike most earphones though, these stay in my ears extremely well, whether I'm walking, jogging, running, or sprinting

Thanks for the thoughts. Definitely considering them.

I am VERY curious about the wireless ones. They have the where I was today, but they weren't on display to try on. I don't particularly want to spend hundreds of dollars on something that I cannot physically hold before hand.

Nice! I have considered the new Powerbeats (Lebron/Imagine Dragons commercial)

They look very appealing to play ball in and such, but not as comfortable to wear in my room messing around. I am trying to keep in mind that I'll have to wear them when I watch Netflix/Youtube and other things whenever my roommate is in there.

Beats suck.

I prefer the classic portable CD player that you had to place in your out stretched arms while having your arms act as a shock absorber, while avoiding any sudden gusts of wind or anything else that would cause your disc to skip......Ahhh the good ol days. Boy were they great.

I get them from a buddy he somehow gets 15 for 1000bucks.
He then sells them for 190 each but gave me this ones just cause we're friends

Not what you're wanting to hear, but when you're spending this much money on something you owe it to yourself to explore all the options. My brother got a pair of the wireless beats and comparing them to my Bose QC15 headphones, I much prefer the Bose. They sound better and are way more comfortable, and the noise canceling on them is fantastic. I highly recommend them.

Redfire, thanks for the thoughts...

I am the guy who researches A LOT before a major purchase. Unlike many people my age. I am taking into account that I much prefer the styling of the Beats. I am happy with the sound. I tried on all of the Bose stuff too. They barely edge out beats on comfort and sound, but are bland and not fashionable whatsoever for myself.
