i feel like i have a pretty good chance at the job, since i have two internships on very high profile movies, and even the director of driving mrs daisy took a liking to me. plus i just filmed a rick springfield concert last night.

and i dont want to be your typical american, who gets up mad in the morning, goes to work in an ordinary car, goes to a job they hate then goes home. so really, i dont think im going to get another car thats not on this list, and all im asking for is what would be a good car on this list i should get. not one i dont want.. i dont want to be ordinary, i want to be extraordinary. now, putting all the what ifs aside, money not being involved, what would be a good option.
You have some extremely ambitious plans. All I can say is best of luck... Many people have that same dream... Ps I already voted in the poll.

I drive in rush hour traffic. I don't need a fun car to sit still in.
It's not always about miles either. Gas mileage and the peace of mind knowing your nice car is safe at home while your beater is what's been left unattended in a parking lot to be hit, keyed, and dinged are my main reasons.

+1 My thoughts exactly. Could be that we both live in MD which a lot of inconsiderate pricks tend to gravitate to.

I wish I had a beater a lot of days. It all depends on where you live. If your area isn't like that then, i would suggest driving both the new mustang and the corvette. I can't get over the corvette's stigmatism for being an old man mid life crisis present to himself so I voted mustang. Plus this is a mustang forum.

I'd get a '12 or '13 focus ST. Peppy little car, turbo'd, can probably give most stock new edges a run for their money and great gas mileage.

Only one on that list I haven't driven is the c6z.

C6 base model vettes are still extremely fun cars. 400hp in such a small, light car. They fly! but, you are going to sacrifice comfort if you gravitate toward the vette. z06 or not.

370z's are ok. More comfortable than the vette. Also, a bit better gas mileage iirc (if you have a light foot). They don't give that raw, throw you in the seat power that the mustang or the vette will give ya, though.

The mustang combines a the comfort you would look for in a DD and the performance you'd want out of the type of car you're looking for.

All that being said. I'd either go with a vette (pref. the z06 if it could be had) or the mustang. Not a huge fan of later model Z's

I drive a 2011 Civic to work. Yes, I care about miles but like Colleen said, can't do much in traffic. I mean I guess I could look cool. I bring one of the Mustangs to work once, maaaaaaaaybe twice a month. What I'm actually scared of most is someone hitting/scratching the cars. I rarely park the cars long and/or where I can't see them.
