Western Style Work Boot Wearers: What's our Fav?

For those of you who have to wear safety boots, and I mean steel/composite toe, electrical hazard rated, and comfortable, what brand/style of work boots are you into?

The store I used to purchase my Canada West boots at went tits up, and I'm willing to try something different. Sort of along the lines of boots like:

this
Justin Men's Rugged Tan Gaucho 11" Round Steel Toe Boot

or this
Justin Men's Aged Bark 10" Round Steel Toe Gore Tex Boot

Any suggestions? What's your safety boot of choice?

Spank you all.

I have a set of Justin cowboy boots and they aren't too bad. I don't wear them very often.

Back when I used to work on a job site I wore some like these

Rocky Forge Men?s Waterproof Steel-Toe Work Shoes ? Style #RK026

Not the greatest but they were water proof and decently comfortable.

I've really gotten to like these over the past few months. Super comfy and great durability.

My dad recently got some boots made by Nick's, think they were the logger steel toe but an not sure. They looked like these but are brown leather with part of it the backside of the hide so it is rougher:

They are an extremely well made boot.Comfortable and really mold to your feet once they break in. The owner worked for many years at White's and then started his own company. They are expensive though, like around $460 IIRC.

I think the best looking boots are White or Hawthorn Cowboy style packers, think they look awesome. Will own a pair someday, but they are too expensive for me justify right now.:

Edit: just looked at your boots and they are completely different than what I posted lol.

I've heard the name White's for boots several times before when people start talking about the best money can buy. I guess they are bad ass.

White's are great boots, and so are hawthorns because hawthorn is just a subset of White's. My dad had a pair of White's/Hawthorns he got for digging trenches for the Union Pacific Railroad in the early 90's and wore them up until he replaced them with the Nick's last year. They are extremely durable, only expensive.

When I worked at the steel plant, they bought all Employee's that worked the vats these Lacrosse boots. They were heavy as shit but had the steel toe, metatarsal guard and were highly resistant to sparks, flames and high temperatures. When I first had them, by the end of the day my legs were exhausted. After a few weeks, I adjusted and loved them. They made me feel safe working around the shit I did. Someone told me they were like $400 a pair which I dont know if that is bullshit or not. I dont shop for boots but $400 sounds kind of crazy. I know we got fitted for them which was nice. they held up perfectly and I beat on them.

Hey... knock a self a pro, Slick! That gray matter backlot perform us DOWN, I take TCB-in', man! Hey, you know what they say: See a broad to get dat booty yak 'em... leg 'er down a smack 'em yak 'em! COL' got to be! Y'know? Sheeeet.

Remember my thread I posted over winter about new slip ons? Well I went with the Justins and they were wore out two months later. I'll never buy another pair of justins after how fast they wore out. I'll be going back to another pair of Redwings as soon as I can afford them. Probably come tax time I'll be getting a new pair of redwings.

Apparently some of the new redwing boots are made in China. I remember some years back my dad was bitching about his redwings because he kept losing the sole. Turns out that pair was made in China.

Watch out for that.

Which boots were they, Derrick? Do you recall? Were they steel toe/shank boots?

Redwings the only work boots? Have you worked in nice boots like White's or Nick's or anything like that, 69?

I personally like Rocky and Redwing.

Redwing doesn't make a combat boot so I chose Rocky for my combat boots. Holds up aswell as my rocky work books. Both brands have lasted 3 yrs+working on a farm every summer.

Nope they were not steel toe. I think they were the Stampedes or something. They weren't $250 boots or anything. They were like $120. But still, spending over 100 bucks on a pair of boots I want them to last at least a year. Im not overly hard on boots either by any means. I have a buddy who is a foreman for an excavating company, he burns through a NICE pair of boots in about 6 months. There Justin's I had would have last him two weeks MAYBE.

The redwings I had lasted me 5 years with pretty heavy use. A lot heavier than the Justins received anyway.

Have you ever tried a pair of Redwings Zip? They are definitely worth it. They are awesome and extremely comfortable. Thats another thing I didnt like about the Justins, they were not anywhere near as comfortable as my Wings were.

On a side note, I would try a nice pair of Ariat's.
