Wow sorry to hear this, Jaye. This is a shitty time for me to donate too, I have a roof leak thing going on and I just dropped a grand into my winter beater to keep it going... I'll see if I can swing something next payday.

My best thoughts to you guys.

Your in my prayers taxman. I'd donate but I'm another one that just isn't in the spot financially. I just moved across the country and my main focus is getting out of the hotel and into a house. If your still in need when I get on my feet I'll send something your way

Like I said, please don't give if you don't have. We're going to be ok. I'm humbled by the generosity in your hearts. I know I don't post on MM as much anymore, but the fact that people still care enough to post, offer prayer, thoughts and funds is just humbling to me. I appreciate each and every one of you.

I'd feel pretty messed up if this happened to me.

Sent some money.

I really appreciate it too man. They really liked the clothes. They dress better now then before the fire.

Damn man, that's terrible! Let me see what payday nets me. If I can swing something, I'll donate, but in a pretty tight spot myself right now. Thoughts and prayers are with them!

While I appreciate the offer, if things are tight, keep your funds. We're going to be alright. My wife and I just bought a house and are moving in a couple of weeks and they're going to move into the rent house we currently rent from my family property company. They'll have a roof over their heads and they have lots of clothes donated and beds for everyone. The main loss is going to be his tools as he was a self-employed mechanic. We're going to do our best to get him set back up as fast as we can.

Thanks for asking but I think we've got too many clothes as it is. We need to get some time to sort through it all.

We got somebody to look at his insurance policy last night, and it's a pretty screwed up deal. He's only got coverage for the dwelling itself, no additional living expenses, and no coverage for the contents. They're going to pay his mortgage company and he'll still have a mortgage payment when it's done.

That fucking sucks.. Who wrote the policy? Was it force placed coverage by the mortgage company themselves?

I thought force placed coverage myself. I deal will mortgage insurance all day long and force placed is only designed to protect the lien holder.

Yeah. And it's fucking expensive as shit. I had a customer whose mortgage company force placed coverage on their house because they thought it wasn't insured.. It was like $3600 a year for a 250k home.

Yeah it is. I pay 1500 a year for replacement coverage and I'm insured at 190k. My house is really only worth about 130 though but if anything happens to my house I can walk away with cash in my pocket.
