Men's Prairie Trekker Insulated Waterproof Steel-Toe 8" Hunting Boot - W04795 - Steel Toe Work Boots | Wolverine

These are my snow blow, shovel, heavy yard work, construction, shooting, need to keep my feet dry and warm boots. The most comfortable boot Ive ever had. I mainly got them since my dad had a pair that he used to wear all the time but now since he has to be professional he just wears them for snow.

Chippewa or Danners. I have had two pairs of Chippewa's. One flat soles and one logger sole like these.

I have Danners like these right now.

Redwing, Ariat, and Justin's ftw. I currently have some Wolverines I wear when I am just messing around, and they are actually pretty damn comfy.

Been eyeing these as of late: http://www.bootbarn.com/Ariat-Men%27...=Rugged%20Bark

I don't think you can beat a good set of White's/Hathorns. I have a set of Packers from the 90's and they are incredibly comfortable and still fit like they're new. All original everything except laces and an insole.

Whenever I wear them I always have people compliment me on them or ask what they are. I am going to buy a new pair shortly when I break down and dish out 300-400 bucks for a set of boots lol

There's not a pair of boots made that will last longer than 8-10 months where I work. My longest lasting ones so far have been Wolverines. They are waterproof, oil and slip resistant and have the fast upper lace hooks. For a somewhat midrange weight wise boot, they're very comfy. I work in a machine shop so boots have a very limited life.

I've been wearing the black soft toe versions for ages now. I'm sure the steel toe version will be just as badass!

My budget is around 175ish every year. (company reimburses me) I've had the Ariats, they ok, the soles last forever, I'm wearing Wolverines now and I think they are causing my foot pain, (they are cheap though) I don't like the super tall "military style" It makes me feel like I'm walking all stiff, I gotta be flexible, never know when I need to juke or jive, or pull a spin move. =)

Exactly. I'm wondering if maybe they didn't get them fit properly? The main reason Red wings does not sell online is that they want you to go into their store so you can be fit properly before purchasing. A lot of people think they are a different size than they really are, and that will make a boot break in wrong and not be comfortable. I'm sure they also do it to keep the price up too, but hey lol.
