So I'm getting pretty anxious, thought about installing the gauge pod and Boost/Wideband gauge, but it got too darn cold too early.. Winter weather is killing me.

I'll post as many pics of the parts as you all want, there will be an abundance of pics when the build begins. I hate that it's all sitting in a box.. maybe this is a foolish question, but does it matter if you get a tune in the winter or summer? I figured that i would be better off tuning it with the same type of weather of what i plan on driving it in. is that correct or does it not make a big difference?

I know how that goes as bad as it hurts just don't get into a hurry and cheap out. It took me over a year to build my car dollar by dollar.

And don't do what I've done. I started my install and have come across a few things I need to buy, so currently my car is sitting on jack stands with the intercooler/most piping installed and that's it. Coolant is drained and reservoir removed, lines hanging in the air, intake/maf removed, etc. My car is a freakin mess lol.

Well, I had to make a trip to a store called So Cal Speed Shop out here in Vegas and get a few couplers and T-clamps. I need to order a MAFia and a 3.4 or 3.5 pulley (I have 3.8 and 3.0. Not enough and too much lol). Also need to figure out what I'm doing for a MAF. I have an SCT BA2400, a VMP 5000, and I found an 05+. HOWEVER, I've been talking with Eagle through PM's and didn't realize that the stock MAF can be used with the MAFia and support 400 to the wheels. So, I might keep the stock one on there.

okay, that makes sense. thankfully this isn't my DD anymore so i have a little time. Plus i am not doing mine until spring so i'm making sure that it is as complete as possible. I had also thought about doing the stock MAF with mafia, but decided not to so i don't have to purchase the other MAF adapter. let me know how your install goes!

Yea thankfully mine is a garage queen, too lol.

What MAF adapter are you talking about? With the stock MAF in the stock housing all you should need is the MAFia to extend the harness. Or am I missing something here?

You ain't kiddin! I was shocked to see a MAFia is $200. Ridiculous.

On another note...I have a VMP 5000 MAF I won't be using if you're interested LOL.

What all parts are you still needing?

mainly just need the maf, maf adapter, maf flange, and the intercooler piping. the maf is only 18 dollars so i'm guessing that is a bit more than what you paid for the VMP

Actually, believe it or not, I got the VMP as part of the package deal. Never used still in the bags. The MAF tube hadn't even been mounted before.

Just an update to this, I was able to find a stock inlet tube for 50 bucks online so all that's left is the MAF stuff and the tubing. Going to order it this weekend hopefully. And i know you all love pics, so here's the inlet tube pic that was in the ad.

The stock inlets tubes are pretty restrictive. You could of made a custom power pipe for around $60. Looks like it's it's coming along plan on making a few trips to advance during the install. Lol

didn't realize that it was only 60 to make the power pipe and i also thought that powerpipes required cutting part of the metal around the stock intake location, maybe i was wrong. either way i order the rest of the list! everything has been ordered! now all that is left is the small things like spark plugs and serpentine belt and other small goodies. finally have it all ready to go! should be here next week
