V12 552 Cubic Inch Ford Engine On Dyno

This guy is awesome.

From the article:
Ford has dabbled in V12 engines here and there, most famously with the GT90 concept. That wasnít enough for Jan Baker, who decided to build the 1960s Le Mans engine Ford never did. He basically married two 302 Ford blocks to create what can only be described as the conjoined twin of engines. Each bank operates separately, with the two sharing a crankshaft and camshaft. Of course itís not that simple, but thatís the easiest way to understand this beast. On the dyno Bakerís custom V12 put out 697 horsepower and 576 lb-ft of torque. Hopefully it finds a home sooner rather than later.

2 302's would make a V16 though...

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. Seems like a lot of work to marry those together and then cut 4 cylinders off. He even says he took 2 straight 6's in the video doesn't it?

How big were the straight 6 engines?

Nvm just saw they were 300ci as well.

If he used ~300 ci engines, the most logical thing would be to use the 300 i6

So it makes less power than you can with a stock 351 block, and some off the shelf parts. Seems like money well spent.

It's still pretty cool though. I could never engineer something like that.

Could you image what would happen if he put 2 sbf's together and created a v16? The planets would align, 69's head would explode, wicked's cars would run, RZCAIN would drive his cars, and JohnC would admit defeat.

There's a guy round here who put two 1jz engines together with a quad turbo setup mounted to a t56 going into a custom tube chassis. I would post pictures if I was inclined enough to find them..but I'm not

I actually had "Zip defeating Hillary Clinton for the 2016 presidential election" and erased it, but JohnC voting Clinton seems like even more of a stretch.

Yeah that's it. There's a guy in a local facebook page who's uncle is the owner/creator of that thing. He will post pics updating us once and a while. Pretty neat
