My New Hunting Toy

I was out of the hunting game for a long while. I started to really focus on cars when I turned 16 and quit going hunting. Needless to say, I miss it. So I picked this up yesterday from my good friend for a hell of a price. He gave me a great deal, and I could NOT pass it up. Let's just say I basically bought the bow, which has less than 100 shots on it, for about $300 less than what it is brand new... Plus the added stuff onto it that I planned on doing, I got a great deal.

Paint matched stablizer

I picked up some Rage 3 blade broadheads yesterday as well. Still need a quiver and to go pick up my arrows this week. I can not wait to get in the stand with this thing. It is soooo smooth. I should be able to tag a nice buck this year from what I have been seeing when scouting out by my stands.

I know next to nothing about archery (outside of my 1 semester during college). I'm going to assume you got $300 off a $30,000 bow... so you got a 1% off deal.

I have mad respect for people that can bag a deer with any kind of bow. That shit is hard.

Mustang and a snake, but not a Cobra

Fuck compound bows. I've never been able to hit shit with them. Thankfully I can use a crossbow in Virginia.

$750. Bow with no accessories is $860 new. Plus the money for the site, rest, stablizer, it adds up quick.

Yes sir it is. Very hard, but very fun. I love a challenge. MUCH more fun than a shotgun, muzzle-loader or pistol I think.

Gotta be quick. Crossbows are basically like using a gun, it gets boring. I like a challenge.

My friend tried to teach me how shoot his brothers bow. I figured out how to release an arrow, that's about it. But atleast I can hit a barn..... a target not so much. Looks like a sick set up rotard, happy hunting.

I was only close once and I have been out plenty of times. My freacking tree harness just bearly grabbed a piece of bark and it the deer took off. And he was still 40 yards away. Fuckers senses are insane.

Haha, it is tough for sure. I need to get this one sighted in this month. Season starts first weekend of October, though I'll be at NMRA then.

They know what you're going to do next before you do.

I'll get my kill. I'll post up the first buck I get on here. I've had my eyes on one we keep seeing out where our stands are. Nice 12 point. If I see it, I'm going for it. If I can keep my nerves down, hahaha.
