Air up mattress or real mattress?

For 8 months? I have an internship coming up in Michigan and I have to drive there from home (14 hours) and I have to furnish my room. So I need to bring a bed, or buy one once I get there (which I don't want to do for money reasons), OR, take a nice air up mattress, maybe? I don't want to haul my current bed up there because it'll take up a lot of room in my truck and there are other things I want to take with me that I may not be able to fit into the truck with a mattress and box spring. What do you guys think about getting an air up like this one, with like a 1-2" foam pad on top? I've never been too picky about my mattress. I can sleep on anything that isn't rock solid, and it only takes a week or two to get used to it. And this wouldn't take any room to haul. And no I don't want to rent a UHaul... That would just end up letting me take way too much crap. http://www.jcpenney.com/jcpenney-hom...id^45810122978

have you ever slept on an air mattress? I hate them.
I'd get a real mattress.

I would probably suck up the air mattress myself. Then you find a girl with a nice bed that lets you sleep over :Lol

I have slept on many, but never longer than a week at a time. Like I said, I've never been too picky and I adjust quickly.

I'm leaning towards getting an air up.

---------- Post added at 03:43 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:34 PM ----------

This one. I like this one. I've slept on an Intex brand before and they have this raised edge around the outside that keeps it from flipping you off the mattress when you're near the edge. And it's a twin so I can use my sheets. Queen is too big for the small room I'll be in Intex Twin Dura-Beam Airbed Mattress with Built-In Electric Pump - Walmart.com with this ontop underneath the fitted sheet http://www.walmart.com/ip/5-Zone-2-C...opper/15581041

Why not just get a cheap futon? I slept on one for a couple of years when I first joined the Air Force. I didnt mind it too much.

You can even get a twin memory foam full blown 8 inch mattress and fold in half and ratchet strap that shit in half like a wallet. Wouldn't take up too much room. You can even have it shipped to your room vacuumed packed and you just cut the plastic and watch it grow.

So? How many 10s have you been with? I've slept with some hot girls in the past but no 10s.

Because a futon is the only thing I've ever slept on that I didn't like lol. And I don't want the frame and stuff.

To quote George Carlin: I've never fucked a 10 but I fucked 5 2's in the same night. That's gotta count for something!

We bought a cheap mattress off amazon for our guest bedroom and its not bad at all. It came rolled up and shrink wrapped so it was pretty small. Ive slept on air mattresses and I'd take the amazon one any day over an air mattress.
