making some life changes

i decided to go to a tech college for welding at the age of 22. im currently getting signed up for online classes. my plan is to knock out my required generals online, then go down there in the fall and do the actual welding portion. going for an AAS degree. feels nice to finally be doing something with myself.

Nice. You can get paid real well doing welding. If you want a super rush and live life on the edge, you could even be an underwater welder!

Kids mom just finished up a welding program in Chicago and she's making decent money right out the gate. No lack of work either.

+1 I know welders that make more money per hour than most college graduates. And instead of being salaried, they get paid time and a half, or double time for long hours of work.

Good for you and good luck with it. As others have mentioned the trades are a good living and in high demand right now. Never stop learning.
