Cool things about your state

What's unique about your state and how is it different than other states?

Michigan has a 10 cents bottle deposit

Michigan has no tolls

Michigan gets very cold and very hot. Probably experience the temperatures of all other states in our 4 season.

Michigan is one of the safest states for natural disasters

Michigan is surrounded by freshwater

Prostitution is legal in most counties. It houses Area 51 and my state is the only one that has had a nuclear weapon detonated on its soil. It actually used to be a huge tourist attraction.

Ditto what OP said. And add that in the North there is tens of thousands of acres of nothingness to enjoy.

Thousands of miles of the best ORV and snowmobile trails in the midwest, if not the country.

More shoreline than any other state beside Alaska, and more freshwater shoreline than anywhere else on Earth.

Motor capital of the world, and home to one of the largest annual Mustang car shows.

Ann Arbor has been voted the best college campus town in the country multiple times.

Four true seasons, each one uniquely different.

38,575 square miles of Great Lakes water.

At one point produced more copper than any other location on Earth.

Sand dunes rising 460 feet above sea level (Sleeping Bear dunes--also named the most beautiful place in America).

Even though they are no longer native to Michigan, a wolverine would eat you.

Home of Kellogg's cereals.

One of the longest suspension bridges in the world.

More than 11,000 inland lakes.

Ann Arbor is home to one of Google’s AdWords offices (section of the company that generated $43.7 billion in revenue in 2012).

Has a city named "Paradise" and "Hell."

Great beer.

We're #1 (literally).

No sales tax.

Entire state is a peninsula.

Snows Monday, 75 degrees on Tuesday.

We're also a tax haven for corporations.

Wisconsin:
Has "water park Capitol of the world" aka wisconsin dell's

Seasons might as well not exist because they can all happen at any time..was 30 and snowed 4 inches last week and now it has been 68 outside.

We drink from bubblers not fountains / water fountains

Milwaukee is a nice place but also super shitty.

4th worst roads in the country according to the dot.

Lots of open andbl wooded space for hunting, camping, atv, etc.

Best beers ever..and lots of it.

We like cheese.

We like sausage

Have the Packers

Lake Michigan and tons of lakes and rivers.

Hmm, NY has its long list of bad things...we hate guns, we like taxes, we like annual car inspections, everyone is in a hurry and is generally not friendly...

But luckily I live in what I think is one of the greatest places in the country. We have tons of state parks, the Hudson River, a plethora of American history, the greatest city in the world is 1 hour away, beach is a few hours away, country is a few hours away, great skydiving (skydive the Ranch), world class rock climbing (Shawangunks), pizza, and bagels.

Weed is as legal as a beer.

The Seattle area, well, the whole coast really, is gorgeous.

Gun laws are pretty lax.

Plenty of places to go hiking, ride trails, snowboard, all sorts of stuff.

Enormous car scene.

You can go snowboarding, surfing, and desert camping all in the same day

We also have a bottle deposit

Summer is about 10 months out of the year. The other is spring, and and a little bit of chillyness, with maybe some perspiration

And it's never humid here

Willow Springs

And my personal favorite... The mountains. Mountains and hills everywhere.
