He wasn't a troll unless he went and bought a POS straight pipe sixxer, leather jacket, and several vaping devices. Then he created a YouTube account to display his shifting and wiring ability. All this to troll unsuspecting members of MM. Bottle was real boys........he was real.

I can't remember what his name is now let me check.

---------- Post added March 23rd, 2016 at 12:04 AM ---------- Previous post was March 22nd, 2016 at 11:52 PM ----------

He hasn't been active on FB in a while but this is his profile pic.

This is his right hand man and one of his five FB friends.

---------- Post added at 12:14 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:04 AM ----------

I want to reiterate that Bottle is probably an ok guy but this place didn't do him any favors. Bottle needs to hit bottom before he can become a productive member of society. Using him as comic relief on a forum, while it is funny, did not help him. It just reinforced his nonsense.

Nah. I never really cared for him.

I miss burton, zip, 08blkgt500, sharkbait, 6er, rzn, hmusn, few others.

Some of those guys might still be around in the tech sections but I don't go in tech threads any more.

I feel like all the forums I go on have gotten dead, what happened? I've been on Stangnet for almost 18 years, it was a hopping place in the early/mid-2000's, now it's a shadow of its former self. And most other Mustang forums I visit seem pretty slow too.

Dang you still go there? That was the first Mustang forum I was on and it was really active. Then it got bought out I guess and the activity just completely plummeted. I'm surprised anyone posts there at all.

Bought out? Wasn't aware of that, far as I know Mike Raburn still owns and runs the place.

I go there some but not much because it's blocked on my work computer (no idea why), I never post much in the tech section there now because there's not enough activity but the off-topic forums used to be a lot of fun...now they're just dead too. Back when I had my 2.3 Mustang, the 2.3 section was very active but it's dwindled to practically nothing as well.

I'm actually a moderator on the 2.3 and S197 boards there but I guess not a very good one since I maybe visit once a week...oh well

This. I still keep in contact with zip on instagram though. Sharkbait still posts in the 99-04 sections, burton was awesome and 6er was hilarious hahaha.

A big one to blame is facebook. Now theres groups full of morons trying to tell BS lies. The other day some guy was telling someone he has a factory supercharged 2000 GT 4v lmaoooooo like fuck off. Then some dick started argueing me that my mid pipe didnt help me gain 15rwhp, AFTER I even posted dyno sheets. After that I just gave up, said fuck them, they're idiots and they piss me right off.

At least on here you know who is credible, theres a rep system, you get to search old threads to info. You cant do that on facebook, and if you do, most of the time the info is so wrong it hurts my brain. Or if I swear at all on facebook its an insta ban in those groups. The only good group is NAMM. F8L GT is an admin and NA SVT posts lots.

I also think autoguide shit the bed. They don't promote the site enough, and when they do they make it look spammy. They changed the layout and it looks like balls. So I just switch it back to the classic view. If autoguide wasnt garbage then maybe they'd promote in targeted areas.

Thats my opinion on this situation.

I just assumed it was bought out because it went from a normal looking forum to an auto-news-website kind of fancy front page. Usually that doesn't happen until a lot of money suddenly shows up.

All of the guys talking about activity realize it's up to you to increase activity, right? It's up to the members. AutoGuide didn't really do anything but force people to click 'Classic Mode' lol. Activity is all on us as members here.

Weird thing is all of the Mustang forums are being hit hard by the Facebook virus. Oddly though the F150 and I'd imagine other truck forums are still thriving. Guess it's a difference in ownership base, don't know what else it is.

I joined one group on facebook (naturally aspirated modular madness) but honestly, any technical questions I would take to a forum like this first. I don't like facebook that much though.
