Man the classifieds were worth the torture, but I joined a group called OMG (Ontario mustang group) that was full of drama and I joined another group which was GTA fox body club
And holy talk about coupes with dech kits and people with absolutely no technical skills.

I had a guy ask me a question about installing a cai he was having issues getting the filter on so I told him lightly coat the pipe and inside of the filter with some oil just to help slide it on.

Boy oh boy was that a crazy NO NO I got reamed, people calling me a moron and I don't know anything saying that ruins the filter and stuff.

Sure enough it helped the guy but jeez I couldn't believe it, I got off Facebook all together after the second time something like that happened.

I will say I really do enjoy this forum I still consider my self new. But the help is endless, plus it's not all about cars we also discuss life changing events that's something you don't see everyday.

But about boattle hopefully he got his stuff together I know he tried to quit smoking 3-4 times or more on here.

Anyone who thinks boat was the dumbest member ever who was constantly trolling, clearly never had the pleasure of meeting NBA.

That's where I don't understand the appeal of the facebook groups. The few that I've looked at are 99% morons who don't know what they're talking about or are just trolling everyone else. There is no credibility at all. Forums give you the ability to see what sort of work people have done and if they're trustworthy about the technical information they give you. Facebook is like a bunch of 15 year olds that don't know an exhaust pipe from an intake. Vomit.

Hey there was something like that that happened on Stangnet years ago. This guy made an account posing as a girl, and would even reply to himself in threads and stuff. Somebody finally figured it all out and he got the permaban stick.

BTW- that naturally aspirated modular madness group isn't bad. It's mostly 2V and 5.0 guys but the dude that owns Cushman Motorsports is either running the group or is at least a member, can't remember which.

F8L GT runs it, NA SVT (Todd) frequently posts and Jim Cushman posts too. For those three people is the only reason why I'm still in that group.

IMO AutoGuide needs to spend something on advertisements. How are they expected to get a good return if their forums are dying?

Also, Unlisencedtodrive was the best. I actually liked him.

. Yeah, TheLooker was so confused when we called him out at NBA. Yeah, Tony and I investigated. NBA ended up being a harmless curly headed Jewish kid from So Cal who had more money than brains.

I think we scared TheLooker off by false accusations of being NBA. He was weird anyway though lol.

Ahh, the good old days where the clubhouse moved so fast that a thread would be on the second page in an hour if no one posted in it.

---------- Post added at 07:09 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:03 PM ----------

The only Facebook pages I'm part of for "tech groups" is a couple 69-70 Boss Mustang owners pages. And those are all good fun. Just a handful of Boss owners sharing pics of their cars. There's also a guy out of Austrailia who does jaw dropping restorations on Boss mustangs and posts progress shots of his current builds.

I agree, Facebook car pages are nothing but a bunch of bickering. I was a member of a Boss Mustang Facebook page, dedicated to all Boss Mustangs obviously they only made them 5 years throughout the history of Ford, but no surprise it was overwhelmingly 12-13 Boss owners. Those guys would bitch about EVERYTHING. Well not all of them, but a handful of them made the page unbearable. What finally made me leave that was the handful of idiots got in a name calling argument over what car would be worth more in the future, the 12 or 13 Boss 302. At that point I left the group and just stick to the older crowd that is in the 69-70 Boss 302 page.

Wasn't he the one where his baby twin brothers fell into the family pool and drowned? I'm almost positive that was him.
