Found the silver lining in some problems today. I think the alternator problem on the dumpsterfire is just a bad crimp on the cable.

Also found my issue on the 455. There was some sort of dirt or crap built up on the outboard side of the one cylinder wall. Not too hard to scrape it off with some brake cleaner, and it turns freely now. Probably could have gotten away with some ATF and acetone soaking with the engine together. I figure worst case Ontario it's a hone and ring job and it's good to go. Cylinders don't have great crosshatch so I figure I might as well go the hone route.

One thing I forgot with these old engines is everything is fucking enormous, and everything is cast iron. It is one heavy sumbitch. That intake manifold and heads were insane.

And after the update your shit will be different. Changed my homepage to lenovo. Easy to change back but quit fucking with it. It's work. I have a work site as home page. Fuckers. Windows 10 killed my desktop without my permission. It put it into an endless restart loop. Had to pull my harddrive (luckily my OS was on a solid state and all my data was on a HDD) and reinstall the OS from scratch, deleting everything. Took me a couple months to find the will to go back and reorganize all my shit. Pretty much made me instantly hate Windows for fucking me like that.
