My girlfriend has celiac disease and has to eat gluten free. One of the best pizzas I've ever had was a cauliflower pizza I made for scratch for us for dinner one night.

I think it was so good because the crust is mostly held together by cheese.

Fresh tomato, basil, herbs, loaded with cheese. Cheese in the crust. Cheese on top of the crust. Cheese after the toppings. Different kinds of cheese: mozzarella cheese, pepper jack cheese, Colby Jack cheese, and I think one other too.
I thought it was designed so everyone got a tax break.

My fiancee and I have started up Keto again to lose some weight for our wedding in 9 months. One of the pizzas we used to make last time was "fat head pizza" so it was low carb but it was mostly cheese as the crust and it was incredible. You can't eat more than 2 pieces lol. Even after one you feel more than content.

Wish the Focus RS was less expensive than it is. But holy shit Mustang prices look like they fucking tank as soon as the year ends. Think that convinces me to not buy a new one if the opportunity presented itself.

---------- Post added at 02:03 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:59 PM ----------

I really should just lease a vehicle since history has shown I rarely hang onto one for more than like two years. Not sure what the price would be for leasing a Focus RS. Ford's website doesn't let you show lease pricing for it.
The RS is more fun on the street and will probably hold it's value better. The reason why the Mustangs have tanked is because the 18s just rolled out. They were actually holding their value really well for a while.

It is a firm car though. I'm not kidding at all.

Also turning radius is kinda rough but you can learn to work with it.

I currently have a 17 GT and had a 16 RS. Feel free to axe any quesitons.

16 early 17s are the ones with some of the wrong head gaskets, but with that said, Ford is replacing all of them. The recall says to do a pressure check, if it passes, they say pull the head and replace the gasket. If it fails, pull the head, replace the gasket and replace the head.

Why'd you go from the RS to the Mustang? How are the Recaros in the RS? How's the power feel? (Coming from a 4Runner, it'll probably feel like a rocket ship regardless) Are you saying the turning radius on the RS is bad? Or the Mustang?

idk about the mustang but focuses are known for having pretty bad turning radii (yeah, that's the plural of radius. i just looked that shit up because i couldn't find any combination of letters that would make that red squiggly go away)

you could just get an ST. those are dope too. they have all the traits you're looking for except awd and the color you want. plus, "lower" models always have the added appeal of you not putting it on so much of a pedestal and wanting to treat it like some kind of fancy ass something that you want to treat well since i can't think of a good analogy, which makes them more enjoyable IMO

You've got a good point. But the RS is super dope and has super dope big ass brakes and super dope 350 HP. I don't know if my collection of flat-billed hats is sufficient to drive one though...

I went from the RS to the Mustang mostly because the work to get the RS to run well on track (and keep up with my buddy's camaro) was going to be A) too expensive B) too intense C) ruin what the RS is.

The camber is pretty limited on the RS, and it needs a lot more. Even with plates you don't have room to get more than -1.8 or so out of it because the shock towers are physically too small for the spring diameter. Moving them doesn't help hardly at all, so you have to go coil overs and with most of them you lose the dual mode shocks (it's my understanding that KW, I believe, came out with a plug and play option so for a few grand I could have remedied this but I already sold it when I heard about these).

The other thing is it does run decently warm. It never overheated on me or went into limp mode on track but it gets close. Adding any extra power to it would have definitely created that problem. It's not a fault of the radiator either, Mishimoto said they looked into making a more efficient radiator than the OEM one but there isn't much point as it the factory one is very, very good. The biggest problem with the package is that the overall design doesn't get enough airflow. But that's a problem with it being a Focus which was designed initially with fuel economy in mind.

These issues do not matter for street driving.

The only reason other than the on-track issues was the ride that sort of made me want to move on. It's absolutely fine on a sub 100 mile ride but it can wear on you pretty bad on rough roads any further than that. I had a track weekend out in Utah a while back, we left on Friday night, ran all day Saturday and Sunday and drove back Sunday night. The drive on i70 was brutal, that road is in such terrible shape and being so exhausted from not sleeping for a few days made it 10x worse. That was when I decided I was going to move to something softer. But to be fair the last time I drove the car was out to KC to sell it and it was a daisy. It's easy on decent roads.

Oh yeah sound was like 8% of that decision. V8>i4

The Recaros are bad ass. I adore them and miss them terribly. I'm bigger 6'1" 240 and they fit me just fine. They really aren't uncomfortable to me even on long drives.

Power is strong. It really doesn't need much more for the street. It's more of a canyon car that has enough legs to roll with a lot of other cars. Also the launch control is cool and it hits harder than any other LC I've ever used. It's downright violent.

The turning radius on the RS is bad. I think it's the way the control arms are designed or maybe with the wider-than-initially-anticipated-for-a-ford-focus wheels and tires Ford purposely limited it so it wouldn't rub.

I will say overall though, if you want to dabble a little bit on track but not push it, or if you are a novice driver, you won't have these problems. It's when you want that last 5% you realize there is a lot more that could be had if it had some problems fixed. Also, they do very well at autocross. I wandered out to one at the airport one day and ended up talking with a guy who was running out there. It was his and his other drivers 2nd year doing autocross and they could consistently put themselves near the top of the class with seasoned drivers. I think most of that comes down to how well it gets out of corners. The AWD system is amazing at getting that done and it doesn't push unless you REALLY over do it.

Awesome! I appreciate the detailed feedback so thanks.

I doubt I'd be looking to push it on a track to be competitive. I'm not competitive at all but would definitely look into doing track days and autocrossing just for my own enjoyment.

That's one of the reasons I like the RS: I wouldn't feel like there's much I would need to modify on it if anything at all. Stance and wheels are even sexy enough from the factory and yeah, I wouldn't be looking to squeeze every ounce of performance out of it like I would a New Edge Mustang (or even a new Mustang).

I am curious as to how I would feel about the suspension feeling. I don't mind stiff and responsive but I would for sure be going on long drives along the coast and the peninsula and what not and wouldn't want to get fatigued. But that's kinda hard to predict how I would respond without actually doing it. But also, the roads in Seattle that I drive on are SHITTAAAAAAAAY, so that could be a little violent, but I also ride my bike to work more days than I drive, so not a deal breaker.

Gonna get the 4Runner prepped to put on Craigslist and see how things pan out. If it sells, it'll give me time to sit on the money and wait until my wife and my financial situation stabilizes after the chaos of last year. Be easier to make a decision then. That just means I'll be stuck driving our base model leased Honda HR-V (which is also AWD, so pretty much the same as an RS lol).
