So how does one monetize social media like instagram? Just get a shit ton of followers and let the endorsements/product placement come rolling in? Can I get enough followers with all the bullshit I build or do I need to have a TIG'ed chromoly tube chassis car with a billet everything motor, quad T6 Precision turbos, pearl metallic paint and CCW wheels on bags?

You could probably get a pretty legit following and monetize by showing off your compound boost shit since it's actually unique. Just act like you're starting from the beginning and use old photos.

But you'd actually have to reach the point where it's blowing the tires off which, ya know, needs proof of a running vehicle....

Only way to get attention at a show now days is to have a nearly stock vehicle with some hideous color/vinyl/hydro dipped shit all over it. And a huge windshield banner for the company of your cold air intake for free marketing for them.

Glad I haven't finished my truck yet, I've got to completely redesign it. I had no plans for hideous vinyl or hydrodipping, but not I'm definitely going to have to get that done.
