If I had to guess, I'd say the models equipped with a sunroof have a lower roof liner to accommodate for the sunroof, resulting in less head room for taller people.

But yeah, I agree, manuals in traffic kind of suck, and I love manuals.
More like doing 5-8 mph for a mile at a time lol

I drive my 5 speed Saturn SC1 to work every day.

Shifting on the freeway goes like this: 1st for 5 minutes, shift into 2nd gear for 3 minutes, speed up into 3rd, wait.... traffic, back down into 2nd gear, 30 seconds later back into 3rd to accelerate to 4th...BAM. Traffic at a stop. Down into 1st and repeat that cycle for 20 miles of traffic. Every. Single. Day.

So when people say "why automatic", well where I live, driving a manual gearbox to work isn't fun at all.
That's how traffic is where I am. I live in Tampa and my territory spans to the outskirts of Orlando. You could imagine the traffic.... everywhere.

A manual is fun as hell everywhere but traffic. The first few weeks I drove my Mustang for work til my truck was sent down, it sucked. Then again there is nothing like driving a manual. The pure joy of it and being more in control makes driving that more fun.

I appreciate everyone's input. I really need to get my ass out there and test drive vehicles. I have narrowed the Fiesta out. I owned an XA once and the Fiesta is similar to that car in size. I need to be able to fit clients in there. I can't really say jump in my Fiesta to a few corporate guys. Smallest I'm going is a focus

To the guy that gets a work allowance also, do you have to get your own insurance? Geico is quoting me 350 per 6 months additional for full coverage and business vehicle. That isn't bad ess for an ST model. This is for the Focus. My Mustang I pay $74 a month for full coverage.

Odessa, I know this is slightly off topic, but if you have clients in your car I would suggest the highest limits of liability that you can get for insurance.

I'm a little late on this one but, my wife and I rented a car in Florida and ended up with a Veloster non-turbo. It had pretty good "sport" seats but I think that was probably the best thing I could say about it. Rear 3/4 visibility is non-existent, and the transmission always felt like it was in way too high of a gear. If I wanted to punch it to get around somebody or something it would bog for a few seconds and then finally kick down. I was tired of it after a week.

Also weigh out how often you'll have people in the car. The Fusion is the smallest I'd go if you haul people around.

Such a good idea in case something happens.

There is a specific policy you get for this situation. Call your insurance company. It covers you.

Yes!!! New thread title is awesome! Except I don't know how much shaggin I can do in a Focus or the like....

Back in highschool/college I had a Ford Explorer. I still lived at home until 22. You can put the rest together....
