Jumped ship, now own an LSx...

Got rid of the 1997 GT and got a low mile (16k mile) Camaro SS.

It's an L99 with A6 2SS RS package.

I think it's cyber gray if I recall correctly.

It was garage kept and hardly driven.

Damn thing still smells new.

2005 Pontiac GTO for sale

50k miles, cam n shit, must sell ASAP

jk, man

Congratulations on the new car. As with all LS cars, pull that stock cam out and put something a little bigger in there. Only downside of the l99 is that you'd need to swap the lifters out due to the factory AFM.

Feels good. It feels really tight. Rides good (I like the sporty stiff/tight feel of performance cars).

From a dig it feels decently quick.

Normal light throttle driving, it actually feels weak compared to my old GT; I suspect the auto trans and AFM/DOD is the cause of that.

That said, the AFM junk has to go. I hate the sound when it runs on 4 cylinders and it's just weird altogether. It almost sounds like a light vibration/bassy rumbling when it runs in 4cyl.

Plans are to get rid of AFM/DOD and do the typical cam with tune. I might do LT's as well.

Long term, I might add boost.

Only problem is you have to walk around with a blindfold in your pocket so you don't puke when you see it as you walk up to it.

I wasn't going to say it...

If someone told me I had to buy a Camaro built in the last century, it'd have to be a sixth gen. Either that or the very last facelift of the 5th.

There's not a LS motor on the planet that sounds good, period.

That car in the video has such a rasp at idle, that it's going to sound horrific when you stab the throttle, just like every LS motor made. It's funny that every time someone says LS motors sound good, they back it up with something with a choppy idle. Woohoo.... a choppy idle, and still a turd. Impressive. Did you know anything can have a choppy idle? A Honda can have a choppy idle too, but does it sound good? Most people actually drive their cars, which requires throttle, and the LS motor sounds like a fart in a megaphone when that happens, with a obnoxious raspy tone. They're horrible. They just don't sound good. They just don't.

I tell the truth. Deal with it.
