Bitcoin

now is a great time to buy bitcoin. not because i have any idea what the market is going to do, but because i'll get $75 for referring you if you buy $100 or more lol

https://www.coinbase.com/join/52f5ce864559b4e9f0000031

if you're looking for an investment with steady growth, bitcoin won't be your best bet, but if you've been thinking about getting involved with it or want a way to diversify your portfolio for various contingencies, be able to pull it out whenever you want, spend it like real money in a multitude of ways, and still have the potential for making a profit without touching it, it might be worth considering

Shit I wish I could have been one of those guys who made a huge profit off of them at first. I would have been advertising putting it out there anyway I could.

All fun and games. And I was referring to this genius. Of course it is old and it probably won't happen again but damnit.

It has leveled out. I'm still ahead since I got in a little earlier, but I did buy some when it was up high, so it leveled out for my profit margins. Hopefully it makes its way back up. We might be seeing where it's going to level out. I have a feeling there will be a spike a couple years down the road when the last BTC is created though.

that's possible, but even if it spikes i'm not going to cash out

it's leveled out around $240 in the past few days but over weeks/months i think it's still been pretty unstable. it was only a couple of months ago that it was $300+

when i bought that bitcoin from you, i only lost a few dollars when i sold it, but for quite a while i've been buying $5-$10 a month. works out better for me since i'm not throwing in enough money to miss, and i've still been lucky enough to make a profit

and FWIW, they ended the $75 deal lol. now it's just $10 for the referrer and $10 for the referee

Yeah I used to do the same, but I'm saving for a piece of land at the moment, so I stopped doing that for a while.

I bought bitcoin back when it was $45 and sold when it was up around $1000. I think total I've made $2,500 so far. Not too shabby

Its a virtual currency. Right now one Bitcoin is worth about $300 ish USD, and it fluctuates up and down kind of like stock. It is immensely divisible. you setup an online wallet with one of many merchants and can buy coins for USD or CAD. Some companies accept bitcoin as payment for online purchases now too. There is A LOT more to it but that's a simple explanation.
