Oh I'm sorry, I was so fucking tired. Disregard my comments, was running off 24 hours of no sleep.

I should add I'm not doing anything to the car. Maybe a different upper and lower grill, rims, and that's really it. HID's of course, I believe they can fit in these housings.

I wasnt saying that there was a right or wrong. Just saying what i would do. Honestly, evwlen a 500whp SHO wouldnt even need DRs anywhere, just good sticky street tires, its a big car and four wheels turned by a turbo V6, i dont see it having traction issues with the AWD and a torque curve that probably favors mid-high rpm range lol.

Planning on detailing the car properly (first time this calendar year) next week in prep for going back to school. Hopefully some dumb bitch with a boot (as in broken leg boot) doesn't slam her pos honda into my car again. While the paint is still glassy.

Yeah the car is pretty amazing honestly. I'd like to make her a sleeper, but, I'd really just do rims right now and call it good.

Serious question. What causes holograms? under my lights i couldnt see since they're just flourescents in my garage and it wasnt bright enough, so i thought i did a good job polishing and i did on MOST of the car, one section has some holograms in the sun pretty bad.. Maybe it's cause it's such a curvy part of the car. Did a 1-step sort of with my HD adapt. Orange pad actually came out with enough cut and good enough finish for me (not a perfectionist and dont have the time to add the 2nd step.. lol) Will post any good pics I get.

The tiny abrasives inside a polish/compound cause thier own scratches in the paint as they remove defects, A rotary polisher's movement is uniform and thusly, so are the small scratches the product leaves behind. A hologram is thousands of tiny shallow uniform scratches, the reason they look like "holograms" is they are a uniform shape and catch light that way.

Products used with a DA leave scratches as well but they are much more random and appear as haze or "micromarring".

It doesn't matter. Sometimea foam causes halograms if not worked in properly.

Its micromarring then. Sometimes you can get micromarring thay resembles holograms when using an aggressive compound and a heavy pad.

What steps did u use again? Sounds like your having a refinement issue like your final polish step doesnt have enough cut to eliminate the micromarring.

He's using adapt. I just think he needs a softer pad vs the orange one he was using.

My thoughts exactly ^
Maybe even doing a IPA wipe?
You may just be seeing the haze left behind by the oils in ADAPT, trying diluting some Isopropyl Alcohol 1:1 with some distilled water in a spray bottle. Mist that on the surface and wipe clean with a clean microfiber. Adapt leaves behind a weird residue and that may be what your experiencing.

Did a back to school wash. Found out the paint needs clay really really bad, but I don't have time or shade to clay and seal before move in day.

This will remove any left over polish or nonsense but it won't remove the haze. You would be able to tell if it was a residue because it would change every time you tried to remove it. The Haze he is seeing is as nodded explained. You could test it on your car and you ll see it. Use a compound for a deeper cutting polish you ll see a haze left from it not finishing down.
