Guages resetting

I had my batter disconnected about a few weeks ago to do in install...and im guessing i didnt have it i down and tightened securely, cause about 4 days ago my gauges kept resetting and i would try to start everything would just shut off, so i kept fooling with it, same thing happened, i finally got it to start, and yesterday and cleaned off my batter teminals and and clamps down and tight and starts just fine now...only thing my gauges rest the two times i started it today, whats the reason for that?

Your battery might be dead or going dead that happened to me
