Tips to avoid emblem theft?

Being a huge Broncos fan, I had to represent after the Super Bowl. I bought a metal emblem and decided to stick it above the 5.0 badge. Now I'm worried someone is going to steal it. The emblem came with a peel-off adhesive backing but doesn't lay completely flat on the car (due to the slight angle of the panel). I'm concerned someone will pry it off with a screwdriver and damage the car. I think if I seal it all the way around nobody will mess with it.

A friend suggested silicone sealant to fill in the gap. I also thought of epoxy.

My issue now is say I have to remove it (to sell the car), would I be able to do so without messing up the paint? Is there any alternative to epoxy/silicone that will help secure it from theft?

Honestly, anything you do to make it harder to steal is going to make it impossible to take back off later. Personally, I'm a ravens fan but I would never buy a car with any ravens emblems on it. Just not my thing to put stickers or emblems on a car. So if you go to sell that car later, you would be alienating a lot of buyers I would think unless the decal is easily removable. I would just leave it as is. I don't see anybody messing with it unless you live in a shady area.

If they steal that thing off your car it's doing you a favor, people won't think you love the taste of dick anymore, unless that's you're into that kinda thing

Yep lol in all reality though football badges are only a small step above autozone vents, I'd take it off.

I was 8 the last time we won the Lombardi. Gotta represent! Deep down, beyond your orange hatred, you know it looks sexy.

I would usually agree though. The colors just happened to match my paint perfectly, making it somehow look good (imo).

If you use something that never sets hard (like windscreen bond or sikaflex) then it'll stick really well to the paintwork, and when you want to get it off just put a length of fishing wire (plastic or nylon) behind it and pull through the adhesive with a sawing motion. Then you can clean off the remnants of the adhesive with thinners or similar.

I'm missing the whole football rivalry thing here (I assume you're talking about football and not baseball or women's tennis?)
