help PLEASE!!!! 96 GT not starting

OK, My problem started today when I was trying to change my hazard control switch. I pulled out the Ignition from the steering colum and then started the car 3 times and no problems. I finish installing the switch and went to start the car and it starts then dies right away. When you prime the fuel pump it will start as long as the prime will last. And then after it dies you try to restart it won't. But you turn the Ignition off and on the car does the same thing over again.

does the key have a chip in 96 like 97+. if so it may have something to do with the anti theft.

I found the problem.... The owner before me had glued a chip next to the ignition and I found it when I put the new seats in the car because I was bored. Thanks for the help
