Or... If you dont want the car anymore I know someone who might buy it as is. If you would consider selling it, how much would you want?

I pry cant get much for it the way it sits so I might aswell rebuild it. Think it might have dropped a valve seat, when i pressurize the cylinder air rushes out the intake and a little out the exhaust but nothing coming out of the breather, I have a spare set of heads off an 03 cobra maybe if im lucky I can get away with just swapping heads.

Wish the shop wasnt packed full of random shit so I could get the motor out of it and torn down, as long as my block and crank are fine I couldnt care less what happened to it.

Might as well get some termie rods, you will be half way there when you swap the heads.

You think using the cobra rods and an aftermarket hypereutectic piston would hold up well? Not looking for huge power but 500 at the wheels would be alot of fun just dont want it to scatter.

I think 500rwhp with forged rods and stock pistons isn't out of the question. My personal opinion would be just replace everything as long as you're in there.

I might trade you a perfectly good 2000 GT with lots of aftermarket parts in it for your Cobra seeing as I'm going to get a whole new drivetrain anyways.

I knew this was going to happen lol... Remember the comment I made about supercharging a motor that was OBVIOUSLY already hurt? Anyways, hypereutectic pistons suck. Go forged. 500rwhp is still a ticking time bomb. The only reason lsx guys could get away with making 550 rwhp with their stock hypereutectic pistons is because their pistons are much bigger than the cobra ones.

Has nothing to do with it had that problem fixed, this is looking like it dropped a valve seat. Ya I know hypereutectic suck was just thinking cheap lol. Would it be a bad idea to buy used 03 cobra pistons and rods and just rering them?

Two things... First, do not buy used pistons. Worst idea ever. Used rods are a different story. You may be able to get away with buying used rods, as long as they are in good shape.

Secondly, in your other thread, you mentioned that one of your cylinder walls were "washed" from a bad injector and too much fuel. Changing the injectors will not reverse the damage that was already done to the cylinder wall, so no, that problem was not "fixed"... Have you taken the motor apart yet? Or are you just GUESSING that it dropped a valve seat? Legitimate question... Air can come out of the intake through the "fresh air return" of your pcv system, making it seem like an valve issue.

And another honest question, why were you hammering your car when it wasn't even tuned? I am going on the information you gave us in your build thread. You said that it hasn't been tuned yet still...

If caught in time replacing the injectors will fix the issue without causing any damage, im guessing its a dropped valve seat cause when I leak test the cylinder air comes out the exhaust and intake. The injectors were calibrated and the car was rough tuned and well in the safe area about 12.5:1 at wot. The rotating assembly im lookin at only has a few thousand miles and would work fine.
