The alternator was going out anyways, diode. Anyways, after going through 5 of those POS single phase units I didn't want to throw another one in there. The 2010 which in most cases bolts right up is a better triple phase unit which should be more reliable. Won't go into a big explanation as I am no where near being an electrical engineer but plenty of stuff to read out there. Basically it is more efficient in the way it produces power with a more consistent flow. http://www.criticalpower.com/single-...he-difference/
Plus you can't find new alternators for our cars, they are all rebuilt/refurbished units. You can get brand new ones for the 2010's. As many as I have been through I'm hoping a brand new better unit will last me a while.

Data Logging PSN-1 system, comes on when it's supposed to but it seems that the Zex unit is reacting slower than it should to WOT. Going to have to double data log I think to find where the lag is.

I live, I die, I live again!

Took it out, did some logging, and had a big grin on my face the whole time. Didn't get on it too hard because I'm not sure if the tune is totally safe. I'm sure it is since it is just an FRPP control pack tune, but better safe than sorry. AFR looked good, but I need a second (better) opinion. The AC and reverse lights need to be done tomorrow, the exhaust is getting changed to GTBs because it's so loud. We also need to make sure the speed sensor is working right since its reading way high, despite having the correct gear ratio and tire size. We might have fried it earlier today.

I got in my car yesterday to find a puddle on the passengers side floor! Stupid drain clogged and water backed up into the car.

??? How does this happen? Is it not bolted in and hanging from the frame?

There was a redesign mid generation that removed the mid pipe hangers from the transmission crossmember. Ive never trusted those mid pipe to over axle pipe clamps so i check them pretty regularly.

Haha I knew someone was going to react that way. Chris got it, the over axle pipes like to slide out of the clamps even though I use a damn breaker bar on the bolts. It was the passenger side this time that came apart. Luckily this time my dad was driving and just pulled into the driveway. Last year on my birthday I took my fiance with me to my grandmas condo in sarasota and the parking lot has really big speed bumps. Well as Im pulling out I hear a clank and my exhaust becomes deafening so I drove to the lowes down the street and bought a 3/8 ratchet and a 15mm socket and fixed it in the parking lot. The one time Im happy my car isnt lowered!

I noticed one of the exhaust tips has been misaligned so I got underneath the car and noticed my axleback is pushed back to where the brackets arent even in the hangers. I couldnt just push it back into place, its like everything was bent somehow. Something I have to investigate now.

Burned up a cam follower, possibly a lifter, and a custom grind cam. Looks like the follower needle bearings failed, they were shaped like a piece of rice (I pushed the pin out on a press to inspect) and seized the roller up, burning up a cam lobe.

Parts on order

Just got in a new billet lower grill, and washed her yesterday. I'm hoping to finally get around to building a sub box and mounting my amp this week so the car is ready for the local mustang club trunk or treat on Sunday.

They are made by Metco and I bought them for around $250. I'm not sure I'm going to be able to use the tensioner pulley because I have a Thumpracing arm and pulley but we will see.

Well I have made absolutely no progress on getting the lower grill on. I had the brakes go out on my truck and since I am trying to sell it that became priority #1. Lol

I did however get some more posters and metal signs hung up in the garage.

I apologize, photo bucket is down. Attached photos it is.
