finally had my 4.56 gears installed, w/ratech solid pinion spacer (purchased them last Christmas!). can't wait to hit the track...

gears are whisper quiet, the only thing I hear are the rod end down links on my rear sway bar. tach ~2600 rpm cruising at 65mph with my 26" drag tire, not quite as bad as I imagined. wish I wouldn't have waited so long

I miss my 4.56 gears. Who did the install? I had autofab racecars do all my rear end work.

it's whiteline sway bar, with Team Z rod end downlinks (the rubber bushings on the whiteline downlinks caused bind). Got it on sale this year and figured I'd experiment with it before going to a full on drag anti-roll bar that required welding of down link tabs (weighs approx 4 lbs more than the OEM parts that came off).

at the stiffest setting, it's about 4x as stiff as the OEM sway bar and leveled out the front end at launch. I have it set to zero pre load with me in the car.

Nice, I can see how level the car stays when you lift the front. Just the design caught my eye as different. Can't wait to get my BMR unit in. Probably not going to happen till after Christmas. I gotta go get the tabs welded in and I'm not much of a welder so I'm going to take it to my local suspension/driveline shop to have it done. hopefully it will help square up my launch.

Placed my order for a 3.5" shaft masters one piece drive shaft. At 153k miles my carrier bearing/bushing on the stock shaft is shot. I can finally justify an aluminum one!

Nice, You'll trip out on how light it is. I can lift mine up with one arm and start all the bolts. When I removed the stocker it almost killed me, bounced off the side of my skull and shit. I think mine is 4" though. Can't remember.

Man you were right. I can't believe how much lighter it is. The stocker was 37.8 lbs. What a boat anchor. The bad news is that the transmission mount is toast, thanks to the old drive shaft flopping around.

I will say that the typical s197 clunks at parking lot speeds are 100% gone. Love it.
