I've read all this, got a buddy right know going back to the stock intake because he and his tuner feel it may work better with his auto GT. We can't all be Evelyn Wood, you'll have to excuse my shot comings.

According to the research Ive done the BOSS mani simply "extends" the useable hp range to beyond 7300rpm. No real gains below that at all on any of the dyno sheets ive seen. It does seem to lose about 15-20 ft/lbs below 5500rpm but thats not terrible if your planning on running it out to 7500+.

Be careful with going up to 7500 rpm's though dude. If you read in the article it talks about how they removed the piston oilers on the BOSS engine because it was creating way too much windage and was pushing the hypereutectic pistons to the ragged edge, which is also why the BOSS has forged pistons. I'd hate for you to break a piston at 7500, you still have piston oilers.
2013 GT got the same pistons as 11-12-13 Boss 302 models, correct me if I am wrong? so having a Boss intake is safer on 13 GT models?

source?

and the issue is also the oild squirters and peak rpm, not so much the intake itself.

As Smoothgrandmama said, the issue would then be the oil squirters and excessive windage. This whole thread has gone out of control. I mainly put it up as an informative thread for anyone who wanted to see the differences between the Coyote and the Roadrunner. It has since turned into a bigger dick contest and a lot of bitching. I never said that the BOSS intake wouldn't gain you power up top, actually I'm pretty sure I said the exact opposite somewhere, I was simply pointing out all of the changes that were made in order to make this intake shine on a Roadrunner. The Coyote wasn't designed to turn 7500 rpm, the Roadrunner was, period. Ford wanted an engine that would make great power at high RPM's for sustained periods of time, and significant changes were made to achieve that.

For anyone with a BOSS intake, more power to ya, they look bitchin. I dare you to turn your rev limiter up to 7500, get a good tune, then go run Road Atlanta all day and see how well your BOSS topped Coyote lives.

I can't wait to see how many people are going to blast me for saying that.

I don't think you understand. When scottmach enters the room, stand up, face east, raise both arms high in the air, bow deeply at the waist three times and back slowly out of the room. scottmach has spoken. Thread is over. No more debate!

If you cannot post on this forum, particularly in the tech sections, without the immature, juvenile, and asinine insults, do not post here.

If you REALLY feel the need to puff your chest out over stupid internet bullshit, however, we have a forum section just for that.

But know this. Threats of any nature in any context in any section of this board are not tolerated. Start going down that road and you won't be here long.
