Tuner question

I was wondering when changing from one tune to another do I have to return to stock first or just select tune and go ?

Not sure if it depends on the device but with my SCT I never return to the stock tune between switching tunes and have never lost it. I still have the stock tune when I need it.

Just load it in there. If you are switching devices you have to change it back to stock but not using the same tuner. And really you don't have to go to stock changing devces, it will just use the tune that's in there as the stock tune.

my OLD xcal1 needed to be returned to stock first (so i was advised by my tuner years ago), but new ones you can just switch straight to the next tune.

people have been raving about the hybrid tune for a bit, so i was running it for months and it seemed pretty good. decent power and slightly better mpg (less than 1mpg). seemed to have a little more "down low". seemed great until i raced a coworker a few times. on the hybrid tune we were pretty close, i barely inched him out. switched to the race tune and i now pull him. i have now switched back to the race tune, which i ran from day 1 until all the hype about the hybrid tune....the hybrid tune is great, and i really like it, but it does leave a bit up top with slightly more low end. it is also a little easier in the rain with 4.10's than the race tune, but sheet, its all good!
