Project 2010 Sleeper

Hey guys just thought I would share with you the work I've been doing on my Stang. Building it up in stages with a local shop in Bountiful Utah. Heres the pictures of where I started and how far weve come. Here goes stage 1 new paint.

What about the engine from your previous thread?

Also, what color are you painting it?

Stage 1 is paint? What about the old engine that was supposedly bored out to a 5.4?

That's the $64,000 question which will yield a $0.64 answer.

What's with this guy? Hey look... And then disappears. We should change his screen name to Houdini.

I wonder how long this "shop sponsor" will let him have that bama banner on his car....look through his posts though, it goes from getting his 4.6 bored to a 5.4 to I plastidipped my spoiler, to stage 1 of his build is "paint" (plastidip).

Can I also say the 2010 is the anti sleeper. Looks like a 5.0 but not as fast, lol.

Oh no doubt. I guess it's sort of a sleeper, if the person realizes it's a 2010 and then it's fast.

Hey guys sorry for the slow responses lots of work. As for the 5.4 he claims he only bored it to a 5 after my constant crying. I dont have the pics of the motor yet so i put the paint as stage 1. Project is taking a lot longer than expected so the updates are slow. As for color its is block on white (decklid, roof, spoiler and hood). Hes claiming to have headers and SC installed by Wednesday. SC is the competition set up rated up to 700hp so were hoping to get 600 to the wheels. So when i pull up to a 5.0 hell be expecting 300hp so I would call that a sleeper. Well cool Ill check back in on Wednesday with any updates and hopefully the rest of the pics.

Dont know why he said he already bored it that big maybe to shut me up who knows.

What "competition setup" supercharger? What shop would plastidip instead of paint? Why are you still able to have the bama banner? Why would they lie about what they did to your motor? So after he bored it to 5.4 and you constantly cried to them, do they jb weld the motor smaller to a 5.0?

Not to nit-pick, I'm not sure what you've got going on with your build and your builder, but like one of the guys posted in that other thread, the only way you're going to get to 330ci (5.4L) from 281ci (4.6L) is to install 3.700" sleeve's and bore those to 3.720" and use a 3.800" stroke crank.

That's my next build and trust me, sleeving these blocks ain't cheap.

Good luck with your project.

You are also going to need to upgrade a hell of a lot more if you plan on hitting 600+ in these cars.

Really. And if you're building it in stages, why wouldn't you start with tires, suspension and drivetrain. I mean you might push 600 hp but you'll still get beat by a well built 485 hp car.

What else have you had done to the car besides motor and paint? Maybe you have a bunch of work done to the car that has not been talked about so maybe I'm talking out my butt, but it seems like your putting the cart before the horse. You know, like fixing the wipers before the windshield.
