Don't have an answer for why people hate auto's. Just drive what you like and let them hate all they want. I had several manual cars and when your driving them hard a stick can be fun....but then there's always that time when you hate a stick, like rowing your way through backed up traffic....that sucks. For me I think it's awesome going through the gears in a tuned/built auto and it's rare you would ever mess up a shift. How many of you manual guys have ever messed up a shift and wondered if you broke something in the trans? I get the same hate thing when let people know I ride a Honda and not a Harley. You should get a real bike, blah, blah, blah. I just laugh to myself as I blow by them.

Funny unrelated to Mustang story, At Daytona bike week Harley guys use to raise a Honda by a crane and try to blow it up by holding it WOT. It wouldn't blow up. So their solution to beat Honda good durability was to drain the oil out then hang it up WOT. You go haters.

It's not really a dispute. We all know that automatics will outperform a stick, it's just preference. It's like we all know Coke is the best, but some prefer Pepsi.

Truth indeed and here's another truth; V6s and autos are for girls while real drivers shift manual gears.

Whew! I was gonna bust your balls about painting your nails and shaving your legs! LOL

As for Coke and Pepsi, I prefer Coke since it's usually preceded with "Captain &" or "Jack &". ;^)

I'll even dress up in girl clothes. But after I spank you with my sissy automatic, you have to wear them.

I like manuals but I like the look of those ratchet shifters. Each serves a purpose.

To me, I think manuals make more sense in lower power cars. I've driven some awful 4 cylinder slushboxes with autos that can't get out of their own way, and then driven the manual version and it was much quicker.

On the flipside, once you start getting into the higher horsepower, auto makes sense because it's tougher to shift as fast. Also, there is a big difference between those everyday commuter minivan autos and built drag autos.

I think seeing a car run fast times is more impressive IMO with a stick than auto, but for consistency auto all the way.

Sorry bro. I thought about it being offensive and almost erased it. Put a JK at the end hoping to show I really meant no disrespect. I don't know how old you or your sister is and never meant it to sound the way you took it. I meant it as like a friendly "Your mama" type of comment. My bad. Apologies.
