03 Mach 1 Engine noise

I have a 03 Mach 1 that is making an engine knock noise. I took it to a shop and all they said was that the noise is coming from the bottom end and that it'll need a new/rebuilt engine. I don't mind doing that, but I don't want to spend the money if I don't need to right now. I don't have room in my garage nor all the tools to pull the engine myself. The car has 117k on it, here is the noise it's making.

Sounds the same as when i spun a few crank bearings on my k5. Look into getting it pulled and what can be salvaged dont run it anymore.

I was afraid of that. I've been looking for a used engine and also looked all over to see how much it'll cost to get rebuilt.....in between 6-8k. I found a used one, but the guy already had someone looking at it and he ended up buying it. Car may be down for a while until I get the money to get it rebuilt.

Are you getting quotes for a forged rebuild? Are you looking to boost the car anytime soon?

I wasn't planning on adding boost, but I'm looking into forged internals just to be safe.
