Timing question

Hey all, new to the forum. well, i made a mistake on the 2007 Shelby. We were upgrading cams and phaser limiters and my hand slipped and dropped the right side chain down into the front cover. i was able to retrieve it, but didn't trust that the timing was correct. So yesterday i tore it down completely, and thought i had it timed correct. my son fires it up this am and of course its 180 out and he said it backfired. Now, if i am correct in my thinking, I should be able to put it back to what i perceived was TDC, and the basically flip the phasers. Meaning instead of lining up on the R for right, turn the phaser and cam to the L and vise versa. i REALLY don't want to do it this way but i have a 17 yr old without a car and a wife that works in the evenings and leaves me with the 10 month old from 5:30 on......., and if i only had more time in the day...i could tear it back down.
