Goose! Picked up a 351 roller block. Brand new trickflow track heat upper and lower. Getting a set of freshly rebuild e7 heads for free this weekend. Will probably just sell them and put the money into the build.

Gotcha. I am trying to decide if I want to re route this kit.

Goose! here is the final result of the spacing, Im not sure if this slim fan will be enough to cool it in the summer but time will tell

she is now parked for winter with some light mods coming in the spring with the main and really only goal of getting this thing to the 14 AM show and MM cruise

HKS boost conroller and wot box to be installed

04 cobra fuel tank should ensure no fuel issues for now

Will be adding methanol injection to all that, a water temp gauge and maybe two smaller higher flowing rad fans, get it on the dyno, some window tint and that should be it for this car.

Goose! not an update just some pics from along the way continuing from the last post with pics.

bumper support taken off

intercooler roughly mocked up

support shimmed out to allow intercooler to go between it without any cutting

timing cover was throughly cleaned and painted wrinkle black with high temp clear

engine block also cleaned and prepped for same paint

spare water pump and timing cover used to help mask

tapping pan

pass header in

drivers header on

the ac bracket and power steering bracket were also cleaned and painted to match timing cover

intercooler brackets welded to bumper and foam support trimmed the same thickness as the spacers, then fastened with large zip ties

bumper test fit

the stock coolant crossover was very close to hitting the throttle body with the windstar intake manifold, cut it down to tap a new fitting on but ended up cutting too much, welded a little back on and drilled/tapped for a brass bleeder valve.

piping

not sure why it is stepped the original TMA kit must have used a 2.5" intercooler

working on maf location

flange welded on

e brake hopefully fixed once and for all

little more progress

working on modifiying the crossover to fit, this was a major roadblock. I was not expecting to need to do this.

electronic boost gauge T and trunk battery wire

vented can mounted

new overflow

Next major problem is the virtually no clearance for a fan between the turbo and rad, this was a result of the crossover not fitting and me not having hotside fab experience and this was a little bit of an oversight

downpipe mocked up, but thats as far as she went, wouldnt fit the next piece of pipe so that was the end of that for now

I was so mad at this point I said fuck it and dropped everything for over a month and drove to the American Muscle show in PA for a much needed vacation.

got home and it sat for another couple weeks and then I got it together just enough to get it to my buddies shop so he could make the crossover fit better and finish the downpipe

I had the downpipe kind of hacked up dumped in front of the wheel as a temporary thing which led to ripping the powersteering line twice

test drive to work

and as soon as i got home after fixing in the parking lot at work

finally back from the shop in November

ignore the temp filter

new valve covers mocked up

ps pump off to clean

timimg cover off to clean and paint

found one of these things

mocked up

cleaning up the lower rad support

how the motor sits now
