I'm all stressed.
Replacing the water heater in my place, it's not a simple setup either as it runs the furnace. Inspection is tomorrow and last night we found out we don't have some fittings/drip pan that we need to get.
I had to turn down the appraisal for today, which I didn't know was planned.

Muthafucking zero visibility when looking over your shoulder/out the back window.
Back seat is completely useless when I had the seat all the way back. And having the seat all the way back made me feel like I could still use more leg room from the pedals.
That little turbo 4 cylinder is a beast off of the line. Makes the entire truck feel quick and super lightweight. I was really impressed by that. But the 10 speed transmission is just kind of weird. I'd probably get used to it after owning it for a while and it learning what to do over time, but it was just strange. Kind of shifted like shifting bicycle gears rapidly when downshifting.
Aesthetically, it's a sporty looking truck and I dig the look overall. But it looks pussy as fuck next to my 4Runner.
Now, dat GTPP2 behind the 4runner?

I had to look up WTF a menstrual cup was. I know liners, pads and tampons. Did not know they had advanced engineering for that stuff. What's next? Thrust vectoring? That's why I could see this happening to me. Also the person that posted the wobbly sausage video had me dying. Especially when the kid just starts machine gunning it at 6 seconds in.

There are places you guys haven't seen in England!
we will show you them

We should have stayed in Chichester but Rachel had a free night with her AmEx at any hotel, so we chose the most expensive Hilton we could find which was in Brighton (and it was the worst hotel we stayed in).
Do you guys want to go next year? Rachel enjoys your (ok mostly S's) company.
If you guys can make a few days out of it we can hit up a bunch of National Trust sites and shit.

I honestly preferred watching those shitty Mini class and other slow cars over the super high performance ones. The GT40s and Porsches and Ferraris are awesome to see out there tearing it up, but the slower car classes just don't give a fuck. They have no issues playing dirty and bumping into each other and just going balls to the wall at every turn. And there are tons of little battles going on throughout the lineup for the entire race.
I mean, these two pictures basically sum up the absurdity of it:
The fact that that little tikes toy car battled that gigantic beast for the entire race was equal parts awesome, exciting, and hilarious.
I know I already told you this, but y'all really need to stay in Chichester if you go again. It's a really awesome little town and makes it way easier to pound beers since there is an old british double decker bus that ferries you from the town to the estate.
We'll definitely return at some point. It's one of my favorite memories so I'm glad y'all enjoyed it.

Goodwood was good, I had wood.
I've been to SEMA and a billion car shows and races throughout my life but never anything like that (at least not as important in terms of the cars). We had tickets only for Saturday, which was both a bit shitty and decent, as we didn't get to see the 250 GTO's and Ford GT40s racing which was a goal of mine. But being there just Saturday was enough traffic for me, it took us 3 hours to drive 100 miles Friday night.
It was hot as hell, every time we go to England the weather is hot and sunny. I guess we bring it with us.
We looked cute as hell in our 1940's clothing, me specifically.
I really like classic Mini's and I saw more there than any other car, one thing I've started taking a liking to is the older Bentley's which were old Le Mans racers. There was an entire garage row filled with like 1921-1925 Bentley Le Mans. It sort of took my breath away, even though I had seen one particular 1925 car at Brooklins museum just a few days prior which didn't awaken anything in me. I guess it was just a bit more special that they were all together.
There were a shit ton of people, I told Rachel if we come back we are buying some sort of tent tickets to get away from the crowds. Our passes let us into some of the grandstand areas but not all of them, but we did get access to the pits. We never really had any issues finding seats though, I didn't end up drinking beers or anything either, I probably should have but I was pretty damn tired after all of the running around we had done in the 3 days prior. We put like 500 miles on our piece of shit, brand new Nissan Qashqai. God I hated that car.
I enjoyed the airplanes that they had, first time ever seeing a Spitfire. Plenty of American planes with proper N numbers instead of G. There was a 66 V-tail Bonanza that few over from across the pond. Maybe if I grow some balls we can try a trip like that with some of Rachel's planes.
Overall, I had a great time. If we go back I might want to go for more than one day and get an uber to take us to and from to get a nice English buzz, and I pray it's cloudy/rainy.
I have a big ol' American boner for the Alfa Romeo Sprint GTA now, I don't remember seeing one at Goodwood but there was one at Castle Combe (another race track we went to) and he was throwing down hot laps.
They bring $400,000+ so I may have to save a bit before I can find one.
