Anyway - I'll post more. Going to tear into it not this weekend but the next. Bought new lower MOOG control arms to because of the bushings. Currently looking for some new shocks and struts. The ride is not where I'd like it. While I'm not slammed (1.5" drop) I am lowered and the new shocks and struts don't like it (I have Monroe Sesatracs all the way around with less then 4k miles on them but these are for OEM stock height).
Bought new wheel bearing assemblies up front just because I'll already be in there, had AM store credit, and they are stock. Going to replace them for peace of mind.
Ah the list goes on ... these old cars I swear. Throw in modifications and it's just a joy isn't it?

|Mike's03Mach||Keeping posting as brtnstrns said. Maybe somebody new will see this and it may help them. I know I'll be looking at threads like this and others once my engine gets fixed or replaced. There are a lot of things I need to do to my car. 10 years is a long time to have a car nowadays, seems like people get rid of them when they get a few miles on them. Instead, they could save money in case any major problem and save themselves a ton of money over the years. Anyway, keep posting away!|

Thanks Mike. Again I don't want to cloud clubhouse with it but projects section was moved.
It's a car I tinker on in my free time. It's paid off and a car I rarely drive but I love it and it helps relieve stress and brings enjoyment even if it isn't a wild build. Just a weekend mechanic working on a weekend car.
I made it to track personal progress. I see in the 2v section new people all the time so I guess I hope it helps them too. I'll post more pics as I take them to give others ideas of things I've learned personally over the years. Crazy to think I've had this car almost ten years now. I just take care of what I got and refuse to buy new just to let it sit. I literally pay gas and 75 bucks a month to own this car. More money for mods. Currently saving and researching a vortech build. Just need to get parts I already own installed first. As you can see on the shelves in the pics I have a lot. Most of that stuff is random parts. Just requires time that I don't have a lot of.

-Raxiom 03-04 LED Tail lights (Off and when the headlights are on. Didn't get a pic when brakes are applied)
-Borla Stinger Cat Back exhaust - you can see how big the 4" tips are

Reverse glow gauges, billet headlight knob (old one was cracked), white face AC with billet knobs and re-wrapped steering wheel with new leather (stitched on) from Leather Steering Wheel Covers Manufacturer and Distributor. Went Euro-Perf on the sides and standard leather on top and bottom (time consuming to install right). Also get a peek of the cheap AM pedal covers. The stock plastic ones were breaking and deteriorating.
Beltronics MAX360 radar detector hardwired into the ignition. Mounted to the rear view with a ebay version of the Blend Mount (knockoff)
My favorite knob - cue ball design with mustang logo. I tried the ever so popular FRPP shifter but found this to be more comfortable and I could shift quicker with it. Felt MUCH more natural.

The car is a black vert with black interior and black rims with polished lip. Staggered. Going for the all black look in Florida...smart I know but its a weekend cruiser so whatever LOL
It's been cold here in Florida lately so I haven't went outside much. (OK anything below 50 is freezing to me). Here's a few pics. Today I am going to wash her so after that I'll take more. This car I have had now for almost 8 years. It's got a build date of November 2000 and I've felt your pain nile LOL. I ordered the wrong clutch and flywheel because I went off the 2001 spec but since it was built in 2000 it uses the older bolt patten.

Here's a pic after detailing the engine bay. I scrubbed the 18 year old crud off the hood and detailed everything. Only thing I need to do is take off the hood liner, scrub and hose it down, and repaint it with fabric paint. The EGR valve is also rusted so I need to sand and paint it black. Here you can see my red top, accell coils, strut tower brace, airaid CAI, C&L plenum, BBK TB, caster/camber adjusters, catch can, ect. Not bad for being 18 years old. Everything that should be new is new right down to the idler pulleys. In the background is a box from Lloyd mats. That's a new trunk carpet. I have to totally redo my trunk. It's kind of a mess and looks bad. When the trunk weatherstrip failed water got in. Mix that with the Florida sun and going unnoticed for weeks and I got a mold problem. Ripped everything out, bleached it all down to kill mold, and had to cut a piece of wood to replace the stock to go over the spare tire well and bought fabric from joannes to attempt to match the OEM color - I failed. I also used too thick of wood. New plan is to get thinner wood and recut it then lay the Lloyd mat over it for that OEM look again. Then redo all the wiring and mounts for my subwoofer (10" Alpine Type R ported) and remount the amps. Redo all the wiring so it looks more professional.
Here's where the BBK Ceramic long tubes meet the midpipe. I painted the BBK O/R H pipe black prior to install for rust protection purposes. You can also get a glimpse of the MM FLSFC welded up.
This is a peek of what you can really see of the long tubes from looking in the engine bay. The BBK logo. You can also see the accel super coils better. I also repainted the stock valve covers with black high temp grill paint. This was taken before the detail and brace installed.

I have a 2001 GT 'Vert as well! The best part was trying to figure out which parts were pre-2001 and which parts were post-2001 when buying flywheels and clutches and whatnot. I mean, it hardly matters anymore since replacing both the engine and transmission, but it was still a righteous pain in the ass.

Yes need to supercharge lol. I'm budgeting it for my next step. Been saving up money and doing research on the best route. Leaning towards vortech and leaning towards new versus gambling on a used unit unless I find one locally or from a trusted source. Additionally I feel paint might be the more pressing issue. Now that my goal of getting it to where it is now is done I need to plan again. I'm OCD about this stuff.
