activity started dropping off a few years ago, not sure why exactly. could be facebook, could be the prominent people buying other cars, could be nazi mods (complaints of that definitely correlated with the timeframe of the activity drop), could be obama's fault, etc. then autoguide did the big forum layout change and killed off most of those remaining from the previous exodus. i'd say the nail in the coffin was when autoguide did the mass password reset after the layout change, which locked almost everybody out of their accounts. there wasn't a recovery after that

then everybody moved to facebook, realized tech information sucked on facebook, but stayed because everybody else was staying

now we just get the old members from time to time who pop in to say "wow this place is dead" and leave, or people who say "wow i miss this forum, i'm about to start being an active poster again" then leave.

I've even noticed a slow decline in activity and I haven't been around long. I dont even own a mustang anymore, I just stick around cause I like you guys. And I do plan to buy another mustang soon.

Even with high speed they suck. My work computer is about 500 mb/s and those ads can freeze it up and make it load really slow.

I was searching for something the other day, and between all the links being broken, no one being active on that forum, and the absolutely obscene amount of ads crammed into every spot, autoplaying ads, pop up ads, etc... it was straight up useless. Great way to drive away traffic. The whole reason I came here was because I noticed it had a ton of good information and support.

The ridiculous amount of ads everywhere sucks for me. On mobile you can scroll 2 posts without it stopping to load a ad.
