Codeman Mine has a spot where it rubs. I will try taking a pic of it tom. I had to shave across the whole top of my TB, I have a GT TB tho as well. Ill try getting a pic tom to show you what I mean. And you can see where it rubs on mine. But I also made my own custom angled spacer so mine could be a bit bigger than his.

Sorry codeman but i have to totaly disagree with you . My stock hood does not touch that spot. Although my hood liner does touch very slightly both sides of spacer.There"s plenty of room for that spacer to go straight across.

Codeman They do that cuz the hood hits there. I don't have the vap kit and I noticed in that exact spot it is almost like the hood comes to a point and rubs.

JB weld and a hand file. I was only concerned with gasket aera at the time. Especially top were manifold was shaved. Also i see no reason for them to machine a dip on top of angle spacer unless its universial for somthing. It leaves minium gasket coverage.

Goose! just a FYI

the manifold bolts and rubber/plastic retainers are very expensive from ford and hard to get so that is why they are used.

Yea and yours is in the line of flow. I dont understand why he does some things. I put mine back farther, straight down from upper one. Theres a vacume cavity behind were yours is mounted. Hose is up far enought it dosent touch manifold.

99 BLUE V6 Oh and if it matters I ran my other vacume line this way for a cleaner look. Requires a little cutting with porting tool.

99 BLUE V6 Be carefull with spring on TB. Mine got pinched on angle plate and caused a vacume leak. I notched the plate slightly.

v6kid Damn.. You really tried to make it better. I like that too, but brass is already jb'd facing forward.

99 BLUE V6 I also did me IAC like this. Much cleaner look. Got some copper 90"s from lowes (plumming)and silver sodier them together and painted black. I also notched the plastic so hose would bend around.

99 BLUE V6 I would suggest you fill in the o-ring grove were TB mounts. Better support for gasket.

v6kid yeah, I have two sets now lol. I kept all the hardware when i got the manifold from the junkyard and he sent me a set. I figured they would be new, at least not rusty.
