Yes poo brown carpet riddled with stains will become black. As for the seat belts, maybe the rears will become black yes, but the fronts are going bye bye when I get my cage installed. Set of harnesses then.

Lmao, sorry didn't mean to offend!

In all honesty I'm waiting to do the carpet until I get my cage installed. No need to install, pull it out, weld in the cage, and put it right back in...

ExPeNsIvE HoBbY Little update:

Been working on the rear seat quarter panel area...

Removed the sound deadening foam and all left over glue:

Had to do a repair job on a crack on one of the panels:

Reupholstered the speaker grilles, before material on the left, new finished grille on the right:

Setup coat after all prep work done:

All finished up. All color coats done, grille reinstalled, and repair jobs fixed.

ExPeNsIvE HoBbY Ok well here's some more progress:
Attachment 31903
Door cleaned ready for paint
Attachment 31904
Setup coat
Attachment 31905
Color coat
Attachment 31906
All finished with CF inlay
Attachment 31907
Close up of inlay

I really wish the inlay would have turned out a little better but what are ya gonna do? It'll never be seen except when the door is open and won't be overly noticeable. If I still don't like it, black carpet here we come.!

ExPeNsIvE HoBbY Ok turns out under the carpet is pretty nasty.

I'm probably going to go with that thick carbon fiber overlay tape stuff. Once I sand most of this area smooth it should hide a lot of the crap under there. If that doesn't work, I will reupholster with black carpet.

Thank ya kindly. I'm probably gonna do the carpet as well, but I will most likely buy black vs painting.

I'm curious to see how the carpet section on the door panel will go. I might pull it off and do a carbon fiber section instead.

Or do some perforated paneling painted black, with white underneath. This stuff:

Thoughts?

ExPeNsIvE HoBbY Lol I would but with paint stuff, I'd rather go about it alone haha. Greasy little hands and fish eye go together like spaghetti and meatballs.

Plus my 2 step kids 8 and 10 love going for rides in the mustang, just not working on it, and my daughter, well she's 16 months old.
